G&M PROJECT
How are things with you right now? What have you been up to in the studio and on the DJ circuit?
Things are very well at the moment. Our latest productions have turned out with great success. Expect some be more releases with some great remixes soon. I also started a very good cooperation with Alex MORPH and you can expect to hear the first results very soon. This year seems to be a good and surprising year for the trance scene.
What are your opinions on the Exposure concept (the world's first online dance music festival)?
It's a very great concept for electronic music and I am proud that G&M Project is part of it.
How do you think Internet radio is affecting the scene at the moment?
Internet radio is a great answer to many commercial radios in the world, which don't play enough electronic music.
Do you ever listen to any Internet radio stations? If so, which ones? Favourite shows?
Yes of course, TranceAirwaves a really great station and I like the style most of the guys play there. I also listen to ID&T radio.
Do you have your own radio show?
Robert has got a weekly radio show at Radio BU 99FM in Israel.
Listeners can catch your set in the (ARENA). What can they expect? Any 'must-play' tracks?
Expect a powerful set with lots of melody! Some of the new productionswell I don't want to tell anymore about the set just listen and feel it. You can check the play list later
Have fun!
MISJA HELSLOOT
How are things with you right now? What have you been up to in the studio and on the DJ circuit?
The first two weekends in August are massive for me. The 2 August is Dance Valley and the 9 August I host a truck on the Dance Parade in Rotterdam. In my studio I am working on the follow-up to First Second, the instrumental version has been ready for sometime now, but I have work with different singers since, but nothing has worked out. I am working with someone special now. More details on that will follow! Lately, I finished a collaboration with Daniel Wanrooy. We did a track with the vocals of Bjork, which we have to replace I guesshaha haha. Miika Kuisma is doing the remix for that track; as part of the swap deal we had. I just finished a remix for his track Orion, which is set for release on 22 September on JOOF Recordings.
What are your opinions on the Exposure concept (the worlds first online dance music festival)?
WICKED!!! Absolutely fabulous! The creator should win a Grammy or Nobel Prize maybe?? Haha. Its such a simple idea but so effective. I mean it happens all the time Internet broadcasting, so why not with the biggest names you can get? Two thumbs up!!
How do you think Internet radio is affecting the scene at the moment?
All I know is, that the listeners know all the tracks. Its so amazing. When you play a set for a station, all the forums are active and all users instantly know the artist, title, remix etc. So it is hard to find those tracks they dont know. But for me thats the sport of DJing. On the other hand Internet stations can create a real hype about a track. So that might be good after all.
Do you ever listen to any Internet radio stations?
To be honest, no. Sometimes when I know Tiesto is playing, or Armin or Ferry, I listen, just to hear what they are playing at the moment. But most of the time that is ASOT. I have that on the cable in Holland, so its also good quality.
Do you have your own radio show?
Yes, http://www.trancesistor.com every Saturday from 19.00-22.00 with guest mixes. Listeners can send demos and can send me classics. We also discuss news items from the dance scene.
Listeners can catch your set in the Trance Arena stream. What can they expect?
The usual Misja Helsloot sounds I guess. Will start a little proggy and build up. Will play my remix of Miika Kuisma Orion for sure, and the remix Three Drives have completed of Jezper Soderlund Theme From The Rock.

aye i agree it's absolutley ridiculous to market it this way. Its a great thing what these stations are doing, providing us with hours of broadcasts, but to call them "festivals" and hav "arenas" is pathetic. Unfortunuately, all the Mp3 l337 kiddies who hav never stepped into a club in their life, are gonna start wacking off to such a concept, so the whole idea will probably be a huge success
Oh well.
