I've been wanting to fiddle about with the demo a bit more before I decide whether to buy (ie: NOT warez) the full version of Reason. But I havent got a MIDI keyboard and I've found no way to put together a melody with the keyboard.

Now if I do get the full version, I'd most likely get a MIDI keyboard with it too. But I just want to fiddle a bit more first.

And yes I know this is a disgracefully embarassing n00b question, but you were a n00b once.

in reason, in the sequecner window in the upper left hand corner, there is a button that switches you to like the 'edit' screem where there you can draw in the melody notes with the pencil tool.

BUT

Its a hell of a lot easier with a midi controller.
