Slammin Vinyl last saturday

I know this is a trance forum but slammin on saturday was the best event I had been to so far this year. The atmosphere was amazing and the crowd attitude free (for once!). It was sooooo hot though especially in the warehouses later on but this didn't bother me.
The outdoor stage was awesome drumandbass/hardcore/harddance ravers in unity u really had to see it. The sound and production was top notch as well especially the outdoor stage but this closed at 10:30pm.
The hardcore arena was the place to be and the atmosphere was amazing all nite.
All djs I saw played wicked sets but hixxys happy hardcore set at the start really got everyone going. Mark EG played the best set I seen from him for years and also got the whole crowd to dance on the stage while smashing his head on the stage floor!
You do get dodgy people there but they were few in number on saturday and didn't see much trouble. If you ever get the chance to go then do as the atmosphere makes this event so good.

dude, slammin was wicked on saturday, my highlight was scott brown outside, turn up the music live made everyone go crazy

also the amount of half-naked females was a big bonus

lows was it was sooo hot in either of the warehouses.

So many great tunes played. Turn up the music was great to hear as was elysium. Nice touch to have a singer even tho she couldn't really sing!
Hixxys set was awesome: Shooting Star,Toytown,Steamtrain,Together Forever,Braveheart,Have it all to name a few. Hope this was recorded.
Ratpack played that oldskool mix of for an angel which got the crowd going.
Heatbeatz looks like the new your shining as well.
Best tune tho was when sy dropped kick it - I was knackered at that point and when I heard that I just went mad!
Nice to hear there is some else who is into hardcore on here as well.
Next stop Hardcore Heaven!

but i remember your shining, paradise, dougals dad in the crowd was a laugh [i wanna be on the next dvd :P]

also pissed me off seeing someone else with my t-shirt <_< the 'rehab is for quitters' t-shirt

Got the hardcore heaven reloaded cd? There is a dvd which is included showing the last hardcore heaven with me on it. About eight times according to my mate.
Slammin was one of the best events ever and if u don't think so heres what mark eg said:

The UK needs more hardcore events outdoors in the Summer. The last one I remember being this good was HS. You know something, I felt a really friendly free party vibe on Saturday - something that I've never, ever experienced before at Slammin. What a great feeling this was.

I just want to say massive, massive respect to Grant and crew for putting this on but most of all I want to say thanks to everyone who went nuts during my two sets. I tried to play a little different than usual (I dunno if anyone noticed this) but I felt that because everyone was so bloody up for it I might as well try something new.

Also 1 small thing - why does everyone think I still hate happy hardcore????? Loads of ppl were tellin me this on Saturday. Hmmm.... Sure I probably did when it was going stale after the original hardcore stuff in 1990 up until the late 90's, but didn't Scott Brown just prove to us on that outdoor stage that there's a new breed??? well i thought so anyway reminded me of when i first heard sharkey's trancecore.

Hardcore is a state of mind, a way of life and I have to say - ALL of you were hardcore on Saturday. I hope I was too... hehehhe... Respect Slammin Vinyl crew.

My girlfriend and a load of my mates went to that. Said just about the same thing.

However I had to work on Saturday with no sleep after going to Slinky on friday night so i would have died anyway :P

Saturday i went to sleep at 4pm and woke up at 10am Sunday
