It's the same shit when you install access manager or make a broadband coneection on WIN XP.

Give it a try and you'll see.

Ok, so Let me get this straight. If you install that patch you don't have to worry anymore?? What if you already go it. And how does it spread?
I read all the news but its too complicated.

It's actually damn XP! It's a worm which exploits a design flaw in a service in XP.

Pshaw, I just wish they'd come out with a patch to make Rogers not suck ass... their service is driving me crazy lately.

Anyhow, the reason some of you are still having problems even though the patch is installed, is that the patch doesn't actually remove the worm. It just fixes the security hole which was allowing people to get the worm.

So follow Mecha's last link to the Symantec site, download that removal tool, run it (I highly recommend doing this in safe mode and disabling System Restore like it tells you to), and restart, and everything should be fine! Good luck!
