Technics RPdj1210 headphones

Sup all

I need some help from someone who can read german or deutsche or maybe even japanese.

Im vacationing in hong kong right now and am looking to pick up a new pair of headphones for cheap.

Pioneer hdj1000s cost a bit less than $100 USD, but I also like the technics headphones. Problem is, They have the rpdj1200 and also rp dj 1210. When I google it, all I get are links to headphones in german or something. In the US, there is just the rp dj1200 model in black and rp dj1200A in silver.

If anyone could help me out and tell me the difference between the 1210 and 1200 headphones, I'd REALLY REALLY appreciate it =D

Peace out all

i mean that i can pick up the hdj1000s for $750 HKD which is less than $100 USD. 7.8 HKD = 1 USD

but i really like the look of the technics headphones

customer service in HK = shit, they wont bother showing u stuff unless they know you are going to buy for sure

The Silver ones in the US listed as the RP1200A are the same as the 1210 ones in HK.

These are the 1210 aka 1200A

and these are the standard 1200's

Nah actually the first 1210 (the silver ones) have another frequency response. They have less bass response than the original black 1200 (so in general, more linear). Some people asked for the silver color with the same response as the 1200. The silver 1200A are those.

The 1210s have a worse response than the 1200s?

The 1210s cost $100 HKD, about $12.50 USD more than the silver 1200A and black 1200.

Do you have a weblink that gives more information in English or do you mind if i PM you?

customer service is next to none in hong kong, wno matter hether youre at a restaurant or shopping =[

Worse? Who said anything about worse?

Having less bass isn't necessarily bad. The original 1200's have quite some bass, some people like it, some don't. You can't really say the 1200's have a linear response (which is in fact the ideal response, but doesn't sound good for everyone, like for example hifi or audiophile equipment is rarely linear). The 1210's are more linear. They have less power in the bass, so overal they sound more even. But some people still prefer the original sound, with the silver looks (somehow I've found the dj business more to be a fashion business more than quality audio, I'm sorry to say).

A worse response would be that it can handle less frequencies, which isn't the case. 1210's can go as high or as deep as the original ones, the bass just isn't as overpowering.

Given that I'm going to be using these headphones for everything, including gaming, bedroom djing, and just chilling at home and listening, I guess I'll opt for more bass =)

Thank you very much for your help, dj thy
