coming to santa cruz area the 22nd - > 27th

my bf and i are driving to vegas on sunday, then to santa cruz on the 22nd, where we will stay in my grandma's house in capitola next to the ocean for free, for 5 days ^_^ (shes gone, the house to ourselves! woot).

anyways, ive gone there off and on my whole life, so i know daytime things to do. just curious as to if there was something special in that area (santa cruz, san jose, etc) that might be worth seeing? clubs? dj nights? i despise parties now so preferably not one of those.

or, any good restaurants! we WERE going to stay in LA to go to six flags on the 22nd but i dont think we will now because hotels in the valencia/surrounding area are like, 120 bucks a night.. so, we will be in santa cruz 5 days instead of 3, and we'll need good places to eat at.
