I intern @ Citigroup Wall St. in the Human Resources Dept. Human Resources is basically the group that looks out for the corperation's employees. I make pretty good coin, if I should say so myself.
Russian Crush: My first job came when I interned for Bloomberg in their warehouse when I was 16. Making $10 an hour was pretty good for a 16 year old. I came back the following summer and made $12 an hour. Now I'm not going to knock you working for McD's because that would be just fucked up, but I WILL tell you that if you look in the right places, you can get yourself good paying jobs even at 17. I got the Bloomberg job completely by chance. How? Well, the department of labor, of course
...
But if you want to make more money, either become certified in a job skill (ie desktop support), or go to your local department of labor. They can give you a referral to just about any job available in the city. They should also have a youth workshop where they have jobs specifically for kids your age (this is how I got my Bloomberg job). Who knows, you might just luck out like I did...
