Numark Matrix 3
Hi there!
Today I decided to upgrade my DJ setup (2x1210's and a DJM-300) with a third turntable (another 1210). Well, my trusty Pioneer's two channels weren't enough anymore, so I started to look around for a 3-channel mixer. I first thought about the DJM-500, which would obviously be easy to switch to. Then I looked some more, and found out about the Vestax PCV-275, the Allen & Heath Xone:32 (guess it's too expensive) and the Behringer VMX-300, all good mixers I suppose. At first I didn't even bother to look at Numark's homepage because I knew that they only sold very cheap dj mixers, and I wanted a mixer that could take a pounding.
Then I changed my mind, and found the Matrix 3, an allright looking 3-channel mixer. Nearly half the price of the other mixers I have mentioned here.
The question: Is this a good buy, why does it cost so little, there must be a compromise somewhere? The most important things for me are the feel, the quality and the ease of use of the mixer.
Thanks!
go with the Pioneer DJM or the Behringer VMX300, numark mixers are too big, imo. Maybe you might even want to get yoursefl a 4 channel mixer for when u need 4 inputs??
I would really have opted for a 4-channel mixer if it wasn't for the fact that they usually cost a lot more, and on the other hand I don't think I'll ever need a mixer with more than 3 channels at the same time. Maybe for an external effects unit or something?
