Listening

Do you ever just sit outside somewhere and listen? I know this is a music forum, but sometimes i like to just sit or stand listening to the sounds of society and nature.

I just heard a nice cool breeze, a few birds chirping, and someone blowing their sidewalk off. Its good and relaxing.

What do you hear?

I love the sound of running water. I used to sleep near the ocean...sooo when I vacation sometimes and I can hear the beach, river, or waterfall, I just feel totally at peace.

I can hear my sister snoring in the next room...there are wery thin walls between our rooms i dont know why

But when im not listening to music i can usualy hear my friends talking since the only time i dont have some tune playing is when im outside with friends

usually i hear the indians next door bitching at each other, or the rednecks on the other side wrecking stuff, so i keep my fan on 24/7 to drown out some of the annoyance (and the noise from the fan is damn comforting too)

Nothing beats going to the beach and listening to the sounds of the waves crasing on the cliff face.. or just sitting on the sand, enjoying the rays and listening to the sounds of water, the birds... ahhh thats the life...

Posted by Orbax on Aug-17-2003 04:23:

I actually cant fall asleep without my computer on.

when its totally silent that means my comp is probably fucked up and that bothers me and keeps me awake...

mainly though in complete silence I get tweaked out at normal house sounds of wood expanding and contracting and stuff, and Im always grabbing my louisville slugger and stalking around my house at 3 am.

I dunno. silence scares the shit out of me, just seems un natural

I like silence sometimes, it can be relaxing, listening to music all the time gets boring.

I was up in a small town for a week, by lake ontario, and i burned everynight at the beach at like 3 AM and listend to the beach or my deep dish, and it was probably the most relaxing time i've had in a while.

rofl werd! me fan was making noises so i took it out and WD-40'ed it and it runs smooothly now

just spent 4 days of fiddling with hardware and software and my win2k cd is not bootable, so for most time i heard "whinnnp whiiiiinp whiiiinp" from my floppy drive cuz FFS it takes so fucking long to boot from 4 floppies to a CD.... but it was also hot outside, so except the floppy drive noise all i heard was my air conditioner

but man, it is so nice to listen to trance againnnnnnnn
