I think that Ferry has become More Melodic Than Armin !
From the latests sets i heard from both Dj's i think that Ferry Plays more melodic sets than Armin who plays more banging sets lately !
Once it was ferry who played the harder sets but now Armin switched sides with ferry IMO.
I love both Dj's very much but i think lately i am starting to love Ferry more than Armin. If Armin wouldn't have played ATRC ( AVB REMIX ) it would have been ferry all the way .......
What do u think about this issue that ferry is more melodic than Armin ? i never believed i would say such a thing haha
who cares if both play great stuff?
Armin is my Fav right now....his latest sets have been nothing but banggin but when it comes to uplifting, melodic, epic trance sets.......Ferry OWNES!~!

ferry's aria set was much harder than anything that ive heard from armin for a while... I don't know if you mean more recent.
My favorite Dj is also Armin Van Buuren although i must say that i liked him better when he played more softer melody trance. Im not saying that he doesnt play melodies anymore but less than half a year ago. I was realy disappointed of Armin when i heard him play tiesto-traffic in his sets, i am most afraid that Armin is changing his style to the new tiesto genre of music.
I think That Armin fans support him the most because of his unique uplifting melody style and not for the banging tunes he plays lately.
The 9 hour set he played At Gods was one of the best sets i have ever heard, that set reflected the true Armin Style with 90% of the show being uplifting melodies ! You should have seen the crowd reaction to the melodies in comparism to when he played non-melodic Hardstyle ( At leat it was only 10-15% of the whole set )
I find both boring at the moment. Ferry has been way off form....and armin is thinking to much!

Ferry is indeed a little harder on productions lately, that's cause all the titles under the alias "Ferry Corsten" are bound to show up in his upcoming album which he said is a little different from his ussual style... System F is still the more familiar style as you might notice, there are also the remixes for BBE and Corderoy which are beautyful melodic tunes. Once his album is out it's be good old Ferry again methinks
As for the DJ Sets, I'll need a few more weeks of weekly shows to decide
For now, there's simply no beating Armin and Ferry's B2B set from the last St. Patrick's day

wudnt want them both playing the same stuff though
armins sets are noramally a different type of upfliting trance to ferrys aswell, i cant discribe it to well, but u should no what i mean when listening to there sets

ferry's productions are gettin' shitty.
I think...
I think it is more correct to say Ferry has become more pop then melodic
Ferry now plays dirty electro garbage
Armin plays banging yet melodic and uplifting!
IMO he finds the perfect balance between melody and beat, so you are still taken on a journey, yet you can jump if you want to (which I want to hahaha)...
Ferry spins a lot of melody and can play banging too, but his style is getting a little too much "electro" imo... I did NOT like Rock your body Rock at alllllllll

From what I've heard, Ferry is playing harder, more techno stuff than Armin.
Armin has been playing a lot of prog, especially during the 2nd hour of ASOT.
Rock your body rock = OMG I DIE it sux so much.
yeah whoever is sayin ferry is playing melodic is wrong cuz for the most part his recent sets have been kinda techy n electro with a couple of uplifting tunes in there but not much.
Well, when I heard Ferry 4 months ago at Exit, it was a pretty much uplifting 3.5hour set... there were like 3-4 more techy-experimental tracks, but other than that, things like Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams, Condor - Velvet Dreams, Kyau vs. Albert - Velvet Morning, etc. Of course that was a 1/3 of a year ago too
Last week I heard ferry at Versuz and he played a lot of banging stuff even a lot of techno only the first 45 minutes and the last 20 where melodic uplifting.I was a bit disappointed in him. In comparation with armin I have to admit that armin knows better what the crowd wants. his sets starts quiet and slowly they become harder.
his sets might be good, but rock your body rock sucks

In all honesty....
I think that Ferry, Armin, & Tiesto all share that same type of feel. I mean, they play melodic here and there and gradually move to a darker side of the set and end w/ great trancers (melodic or whatever). Not to mention they all play the same tunes when released. How can u really compare or say they move into one direction? Production wise, yes, I kinda feel that those artists individually have a more techy edge to them as opposed to the whole epic, melodic feel from years ago.
