Airwave - Alone In The Dark (Cosmic Tracer Remix)

it's been a while since i've finished another track, but here it is then.. a remix of a track by one of the best trance producers out there.. it's a bit more powerful than the original, so i hope you guys like what i've done with it..

Really cool remix man. The phased synths are lovely, but clash slightly with the bass/percs. The gated effect sounds cool. Awesome pad work in the breakdown.. very emotional.

When it all kicks in again, it sounds great!

If I was to suggest things to improve, i'd think about adding just some more elements, such as secondary melodies, and small riffs here and there. Overall, this =

very nice remix, i like the melody at 5 mins. nice variation to the original. percussion sounds cool.
agree with what S2k said.
one thing i don't like though is those fx from the aspiration refill, they've been used in so many tracks (the "laser" one is even in eiffel 65 - blue )

lol, i was waiting for someone to comment on that.. i usually have a hard time coming up with good effects and they were up for grabs just like that, so i thought what the hell..

s2k: you're right it could do with a bit more elements, but not in the main part, because it's fairly busy already.. perhaps the build-up could use some extra fills indeed.. i'll have a look into that when i decide to stop being lazy..

this is quality i really like it, some areas of it do need filling out a bit, some reverbed mid-strings or something in the build maybe?

i think the way the bass changes is cool, bit of a shock compared to the original, i would have prefered it if they weren't so predictable with the melody though, but thats personal preference i guess.

the percs are very nice, almost corstenish in style, the main lead is cool

all in all, i think this remix is fairly amazing, some bits need filling out, i think the bass does, and a few eqs changing, but with a proper mastering most of it could be sorted, i really am enjoying this remix and will play it when i get a cd deck of me own lol

i know the frequency of the main lead is a bit high, but i still need to master it..
