yep the cinematography was deliciously beautiful, too bad the plot didn't measure up to the scenery. But its not that bad a film, you'd be hard pressed to find a film whose scenery is as gorgeously sensual as this one.

too complicated to understand. my knowledge of chinese legends isn't that great so i had no idea what was really happening. only like the 'mental' fight sequence

yeah saw this ages ago also, when will it be released in america? i mean official theatrical release, as you can already buy the dvd and vcd of it (mostly bootlegs, but there are legit copies floating around also)

I really liked the plot its not so complicated, and the scenery and photography were also amazing

id give it a 9/10

i watched it in chinese, some of it its not fiction, its part based on real history and the chinese history is plot like as so, i agree with some of the plot not being real,but mostly are real. i read books, alot infact about chinese hostory, and the plot isnt dat off...

This plot itself is completeley fictional, but the overall plot about the assasination of the king is real, this is simply one of the legends about it...

It is in Chinese Manderin - and depending on the DVD region release - with english subtitles.

It's a great movie, the colour themes in the movie are wonderful.

Its about 2 hours.
