Melbourne Trip in September..
September 19th I arrive in Melbourne for about a week and a bit..
I'll be checking out Pulser that night and need to find out whats going on the rest of the time with regards to local type events / nights to check out..
On the following Saturday, Asterix and Bamboo Forest are playing LIVE (wooooo what timing!) so got that night down pat too 
..
Interested in meeting a few of the DJs etc whilst over there too..
Suggestions??
We'll give you the grand tour... i'm sure there'll be some of the 5AM crew playing at Sugar Suite, Viper, Altitude, and Evolution (recovery on Sunday, not to be misssed!!!).

All booked and sorted (had to change a few things at the last minute)
Arriving on Friday 19th Definately, will be heading out to wherever Pulser is playing now ..
Saturday = Family
Then after that i'm free! hehe
Will be good to pickup some Demo's off anyone who's willing whilst i'm over there too
Leaving on the 28th in the afternoon (ooo hope i'm not too hungover!!)

Leaving on the 28th!!... hee hee!!... i'm playing recovery at Evolution 6am - 8am that morning, you'll see sights you've never seen before... (and will never want to see again!).
19th = Pulser @ Room for "Together NYE" media launch, then Pulser @ Viper with Strangis, Reemo, and myself also playing.
Julian may even take you to Bass Station, but we'll probably drag you to Hard Kandy instead (even Manglers need Kandy!). 
haha oh dear, might end up missing my plane 
hotel is all sorted now apart from the last two nights, but got rellies to abuse for that (stupid AFL grr)
Unfortunately i can't make it to WOTW due to other commitments.. looks like fun tho ..

Monday night = suggestions?
Tuesday night = suggestions?
Wednesday night = Shooters in st Kilda with a mate . any suggestions on other places ??
Thursday night = suggestions? Room was good fun last week .. mm uni girls (i know, i know. bad me)
Friday night = suggestions?
Saturday night = suggestions?
Sunday morning = Evolution

Monday = Heat used to have industry night... dunno if it's still going
Tuesday = Casey's Nightclub in Hawthorn (more uni girls ) - but the line is pretty huge so get there early
Thursday = Seven - very upmarket I've heard
Fri/Sat = TAKE YOUR PICK!!!

^^ Yeah Seven's got a pretty up-market crowd, but the music there's not too good. The first couple of times I went they had a good housey-proggy vibe (this was a couple of years ago I guess) but now it's all r'n'b, with wierd retro stuff in the new side-room they put in (though if you're lucky I think they still play some tribally/housey stuff upstairs if that's your thing). But maybe I've just been going on the wrong nights....
I'll second the Casey's thing though. The music is awful (r'n'b / retro downstairs, commercial house / nu-nrg upstairs providing they open it up) but it's hard not to go there on a Tuesday night and have fun. Cheap drinks, everyone there is hammered and you've got pretty good odds of picking up (or so I hear.... ). One of my finest clubbing moments was going at it on a podium upstairs when the DJ said "and now time for some Dutch trance" and put on Sander K - My Lexicon. My eyes lit up, I jumped off from the podium and charged to the DJ box to shake the DJs hand, seriously freaking him out in the process (by the way I ran over there, I think he assumed I was gonna belt him or something). But yes, haven't been there for a while, but plenty of good memories. Almost time for a Cheers reunion methinks.
And if you're free on a Monday night, there's always Bobby McGhees in the city. I'm sure the Melbourne peeps who have been there will know what I'm talking about.
just a note - Bobby McGees = expensiveness
but a pretty decent looking pub
if you're looking for a pub with cheap drinks on thursday, the Depot on Swan St has $1.50 pots / $2.50 spirits before midnight, and Frostbites has Free beer between 9 and 10, then $1 pots / $1.75 spirits (methinks) until later
or alternatively you could bugger off to room and check out the fine young uni booty :P

Was good to meet all those I did in Melbourne (no, i'm not going to list you all)...
Thanks to The Mangler & the rest of the 5am crew for lookin' after / puttin' up with me whilst in Melbourne (but boo hiss for getting "LOVING IT" in my head).

was great to meet you and hang out with you on Sunday Shane. Unfortunately we didnt make it to Evolution (or should I say fortunately, no offence Alberto). But obviously you made it back to the hotel and home okay. Will catch up soon.... Jules
