BURKE, Va. -- A woman was seriously injured this morning after an accident at a McDonald's in the Burke section of Fairfax County.

The accident happened just before 9:30 a.m., at the McDonald's at the corner of Burke Lake and Braddock roads and authorities said the woman's injuries are considered life-threatening.

According to police, a woman was paying for her food in the drive through when she dropped her money. She opened the car door and bent down to grab the money, but the car kept moving and her head got caught between the vehicle door and a pole.

No other cars were involved.

so this must have happened because the woman left her car in drive and didn't consider that when you take your foot off the brake an automatic transmission vehicle (which pretty much all new suvs are) creeps forward.

everyone has a crazy mcdonald's injury story. when i was younger i used to get hurt there all the time. i remember this one time i got stuck in the mayor mcCheese jail and they had to have the jaws of life get me out hehehe...ahhh the memories...

you see.. the verdict wasn't so awful afterall.. later on mcdonalds apealed and it was reduced to 500,000 punitive damages or something.. THis case the lady has no legal leg to stand on, what is she going to say, mcdonalds made her car move? she was acting stupidly when she stuck her fscking head out of a vehicle in operation.. mcdonalds had nothing to with it

i live like almost an hour from that macdonalds. it was everywhere on the news today here. i havent been to a mcdonalds in ages. there food never tasted so badd if u havent eat it in a while
