Josh's Trance night!!!!!
Well I just want to say Congratulations to Josh for putting together a great night! Josh really put in alot of effort to get this night going.
It was a great night. Great Crowd, Great music!
Josh you played an amazing set.
It was great to see some fellow TA's there to support the excellent night.
Was a top night 
Respect to you guys for putting in so much effort and hard work, just sorry that I couldn't stick around longer! But was good to see ppl enjoying themselves to the trance

He certainly did cane it 'Twas a most excellent set!
Lighting was a bit of a mess (no fault of chookie's)... we ended up with 1 out of 4 "intelligent" lights being under control, the other 3 doing their own thing, and one of those turning itself off at random.
It was a lot of fun setting it all up. Props to joshva for organising everything. Props to chookie for doing what she could with lighting (it's pretty much impossible to do impressive things with one light)
Oh, and the laser had an ad for Cargo bar on it instead of the usual sweeps/waves/etc. 
Hope to see more of you at the next one when we organise it!

Well the night actually went as well as my high expectations of it. In fact it went even better. For me the thing that really defined the party was the atmosphere. It had that really friendly intimiate atmosphere. It was just so great to see so many people enjoying the music, trance upstairs and funky house downstairs and not only enjoying but getting really into it too. Also I really appreciate the people who came up to me to say that they were having a really great night or that they really loved the music. It is you who the party is for!
Thanks heaps to James for putting in an enormous amount of work and also listening to me crap on about the party for 2 weeks straight. Thanks also to burke and wills for the funky house set you guys were great I heard nothing but great things about your music. Thanks to Sel for the lighting. You managed to make 1 intelligent, a strobe and a laser advertising cargo bar, look fantastic. Thanks to Animate and Rob for the music upstairs. Good work guys. Thanks to the rest of the crew Dave, Michael ...
Well we are looking at a tentative date of friday the 3rd of October for the next party. If this clashes with anything please post back. They'll be a fair few changes for the next party. For starters working and better lighting upstairs. Also instead of having funky house at the bar. We'll be adding a dance floor just like the one upstairs. Plus many many more improvements. If anyone has any suggestions please post them.

Hmm .. apart from James Holden it doesn't sound familiar, though it's the long weekend and I'm flying to Melbourne on the Saturday....
I was intending to go but once I got back home from Canberra I just seriously felt like chilling - the week at work left me exhausted emotionally. I apologise for my abscence.
It's great to know it went well.

"A night at the Palace"
Basically the idea is to have different nights but all under the same banner Josh and friends presents.
To Dave, basically the venue wants us to be their regular friday night. But i'm a bit hesitant I want to get a couple of nights under the belt before we commit to that. Possibly over the party season (dec, jan, feb, mar) we'll go regular. Also I'd love to hold a trance party at ARQ over the party season as I think the venue is great.
Size wise I'm quite keen to keep it small as I think it is a more intimate, friendly, house party atmosphere.
Also the next night the funky house area will be upgraded to a bona fide dance floor.
