something i really want to know, why do so many people hate judge jules? ive heard many of his sets and yeah, he does throw down a cheesy tune now and then, but to be fair he is quality.
do people say they hate jules just because they've heard someone else sayin it? do ya know wot i mean?!
tell me wot you think, do u like his style or not?

Well I think that judge jules rules. Your right about some the cheesy songs. Sometimes there is a few crap ones, but from all the judge jules sets I have (must be about ten) He rips the decks
I saw Judge jules live at NEC on rapture and his set was really good. Still watch it over every now and again. Also I noticed when watching NEC on rapture, Everyone was texting was texting asking the judge when he is on.

the problem with julesy is you never know what he's gonna be like... when he feels like it he can be one of the top DJ's, but other times he's absolute shite...

I think that's exactly whats good about him. His style changes and his sets are full of surprises and energy. I think he is brilliant.
and after all you cant judge a man for trying..
nope judge jules is shite because:-
a)he never stops playin his or his wifes tunes own tunes..i.e caned and unable, and angelic- its my turn or can't keep me silent etc
i did like caned and unable when i first heard it.soo much so that i bought the vinal..since then i've flogged it because its been so over played!euuuurgh!!
b)plays the cheesiest music which has been played time and time again..i.e when i went to godskitchen and then crasher and he played exactly the same set!unbeliveable!!
c)looks a complete dork in those multicoloured shirts and glasses
d)talks all over his set...even when off air!
e)if he plays members of mayday 10 in 1 once more i'll shoot him!
soo thats why i don't like him but each to their own i say!

i was also a tiesto cynic with sum of his past cheesy remixes..but i've been converted now!he properly knocked me for 6 with urban train and silence!!woooooow!!!!!

i agree with goldenarmZ on the julesy situation. ive seen him quite a few times now and he is either truly wicked or fuckin shite. the best set ive heard him play is on that mayday thingy when he was the nystery DJ.. he wasnt wearing a flowery top either, but he played really well to fit in with the night (which is unusual for him coz he usually just plays whatever he wants regardless of how the night has sounded so far) and he propah whipped up a storm. but the time before that i sa him he was tripe, he fucked up anything he tried to do and played completely the wrong tunes to follow lucien foort and sandra collins (mmmmmmmmm)... when he gets his hard boots on he'll kick anyones ass, but when he's got his cheez boots on he aint too good...
as for tiesto, ur takin the piss sayin he is cheez arnt u?? i first saw tiesto when he signed as a resident for gatecrasher at the beginning of this year, the first time i saw him was his first nite there (i think) and he seemd a lil nervous or sumthin, he seemed to fuck up quite a lot, and i thought, hmmm, all these ppl goin on and on about how fuckin mega he is are havin a joke or somethin... the next time i saw him... FUCK ME!!!!! he was awesome, and since then every time ive seen him he has done nothing but score 10 out of 10. that sss set though.... 15 out of 10 at least!

i do admit he can get the crowd goin..n occassionaly plays sum good tunes..but on otha times he has been total shite!he played at my student union last october and i left half way though afta payin �5..afta he played storm-its time to burn and then caned n unable(AGAIN!!!)

RR i agree wiht you all the way! imho Judge Jules rips up the decks all the time! everytime i have been to see him he has prodcued a beautiful set and always had the crowd dying for more!

Well said Goldenarmz I can't bear the sight of seb fontaine anymore, he's sets have gone from the good old seb of 1998 to new evil Seb 2001. he's just gone and jumped on the progressive band wagon, I think prog house has changed a lot of DJs out there, and its a fucking dangerous music style more and more Djs will eventually adopt it as there style like Fonty, he's so much different to how he was a few years ago. and Julesy yeah dudes your right there, but he's a weird one I've seen him play around 3 or 4 times now 1 of them occasions he's been shite, another he's been ok, and the others excellent. I don't think he's a bad DJ he would be excellent if he cut some of his cheesy records out and as Volkjoolzs says stop caining the fucking records! he's worst then Oakey with that Solar Stone record but with 10 in 1. Also one last thing Tiesto cheese! He certainly isn't he's by far one of the best Djs on this fucking planet, if u make comments like that dude people will start making comments like Bet you think ATB the most underground DJ in the world. (which he fucking ain't! 100% overground cheese) anyways catch u all laters
On the Whole i like what Jules does . . .
His Set @ Qontact was superb !
he was far the best DJ to spin @ Qontact this year.
But he spins a lot in reaction to the venues and places he is at.
in the UK he spins more cheese and his own and angelic tracks than he does when he is spinning overseas. . .
Thats cos he sells more stuff in the UK and spins it here to promote it.
I prefer Jules when he spins abroad cos they are well thought out brilliant sets . .
Seb Fontaine usually delivers a great set but it seems to me since he has joined Radio 1 he has lost part of what he was about.
is it the Influence of the Radio 1 big wigs that soften UK Dj's ?

dont laugh too much about that cos as of his last few sets i think Tiesto has also dropped off the edge a bit.
all his sets have sounded the same lately.
majik 7 was a dissapointment cos i had heard all that stuff in his live sets of late. .

Judge Jules, DJ Tiesto and Seb Fontaine
Judge Jules played a great set at the NEC in Birmingham along with DJ Tiesto as im sure you might have seen on Rapture TV, But I must admit, I did record Homelands 2001 and Gatecrasher 2001 Onto my Minidisc and I thought Judge Jules was Quit poor. About 20 - 35 mins of homelands was the best when he mixed members of mayday and hi gate. I reconed that DJ Tiesto's Half an Hour Deserved seb fontaines 1 and half hours, cos fontaine was pretty crap. I Liked Seb Fontaines Mix @ Passion on New years Eve. Still have it on Minidisc, But Listening To my Homelands Collections Of Seb Fontaine as I have the one from 2000 and 2001, Homelands 2000 has impressed me more than 2001, the same with judge jules (maybe its there age lol) So Overall DJ Tiesto has proberly impressed me the most. His latest Mix at Club Eau Impressed me very much for the first 50 mins then i got a wee bored of some of it, but over all hes a great dj. But one DJ That I really like to hear playing is Paul Van Dyk. His sets are great and I like that we bit extra speed on some of his tracks if u have noticed, like the first 17 mins at gatecrasher sss 2001 in the essential mix, with Members of Mayday, it was faster than the original mix which made me bounce around more and it was the same at mayday 2000 with sandstorm. But my music style might be different to all yours. I like music with a good beat that is quite fast like schiller - das glockenspiel tiesto mix, push strange world, madonnas what it feels like for a girl (the fast version)Altatude - excession etc.

And he does have a lot of big tunes, but it is a shame he has to do a warm up, i would much prefere it if jules was after dannny dumpling.
