Smiley DJ MP3 Mixers

Hi

I'm looking for some software which will allow me to mix MP3's, and save the resulting mix as either a .wav or .mp3 file.

Does anybody know of any? I've found several pieces of software which will allow me to mix mp3's (the best I've found so far is Offsea MP3 Player), but they will not allow me to save my mix.

I'm also after some software which will change the tempo of an mp3, and then save it again.

Can anyone help?

The best program you can possibly find that also saves
the mix is Traktor.
download it and see for yourself.
tell me if you need more help.

I had a look on download.com and couldnt see it there.

Thanks.

I'd got for Traktor

I've used many mp3 mixers. Each have their advantages and disadvantages. Overall though, I would go with Mixvibes Pro 3.00-04. It is the most complete, stable, realistic that I have used. I don't care what the actual player looks like, as long as it is not to colorful, it is about performance, ease, and features of the program. But here is the picture anyway.
Some features include up to four sound cards support, scratching, looping, sampling, 6 cue points per song, record and save to wave plus generate cue file on the fly, ability to edit the saved mix, sound effects, balance for mixers, 16 channels, plugins, and a whole bunch of advance stuff if you know how to use it. Some other things, but I cannot remember at the moment.
I already tried the 1200s and tracktor. Mixvibes blows them away hands down.

I'll Agree with u buchatu, performance is the nr 1. It have to feel like the real thing I have tried several players, but most of the was slow, (like pitching response) and to many functions. I hate those ALLIN1 players
But I haven't tried the Mixvibes Pro 3.00-04, It looks clean so I just have to try it.

Final note to add

Just one last thing to mention, since Hurricane brought the subject up. Mixvibes pro 3.0X is really precise as far as reaction time. Everything is on the money. The cue features are phat and so are the looping ones. I have recorded many cds,,, gave them to my friends, and they couldn't believe I did it with software. One thing about recording though,, you have to have sufficient RAM, CPU pwr, and a good sound card. I never have issues monitoring and recording. I see many people post problems with their mixers about hearing crackling and sound choppiness. That all contributes to the PC that you are using most the of the time, but also sometimes the program.

I've also heard that the Digital pcdj 1200 is the best MP3 mixing equipment/software out there - in fact, I ordered it but haven't hooked it up yet. You need a Soundblaster live OR better soundcard for this to work effectively....

Hi there,

I just downloaded the Traktor demo, it seems like a really good mixing software. But the demo has many downsides: can't save, stops working after a few minutes. If anyone knows where I can find a crack or where I can get the full version, please help.

WTB.

Like bachutu says all has its price I tried the mixvibe3 and I couldn't find anything special to put my finger on, it has a fast responstime, fast loading of songs, good overview But who has the use of 16 deck (who could mix with 16 decks??) I didnt like the pitch (I'm used to pitch on the fly, not that click, click, click thing)
I also got some problems with the autocue after a while

TranceDance: I'll still have to agree with that, If u are used to mix with turntables the pcdj1200 is the best mp3mixing software, like me have been mixing on turntables about 14years, and the pcdj1200 got me as its friend in notime )

Have u checked out the Numark DMC-1 MP3 controller.. Thats a little baby

http://www.pcdj.com/Products/Controller.asp

But I think I got a little too proffessional here now

Try searching in astalavis.. i mean altavista.com :p

I use BPM studio 3.4 it is really powerful and has a lot of options as to what u want to do with it. for example u can change the sound card latency to up to 4ms which my live supports though normally they only do about 25ms access. Thats the speed which the software can access your sound card and start playing audio through it or stop it etc. VERY nice. Also has recording and pitch as well as tempo adjustments.

I have used BPM studio 3.4 professional. It is a very powerful mixing program. I blieve this is only second to mixvibes professional 3.4. Here are a couple of reasons. This program is a resource hogger. Dude it takes up so many resources. Im running 320mb of RAM, 700mhz athlon, and ATA100 HD, including two sound blaster lives. When you play live, it works fine, but when you start using the recording function,,, that is when everything goes to dumps .. mouse becomes slow, sound becomes choppy, etc. Also, it only has a two deck interface (only two channels). If you have more than one song to mix, you cannot do it. Then, it has no balance control.
However, it has built in effects, and it supports .cda format. Meaning you can mix directly from a cd without ripping it to wave then decoding to mp3.
That is where i go back to what i said orginally ... Every program has its advantages and disadvantages. You have to see what works best with you,,,, usually you will be able to master which every one you get accustomed to, just like real decks. But so far, mixvibes 3.4 has been the easiest, most stable for me to work with, especially when recording for multiple hours.

does anybody know any alternative which is similar to internet audio mix??? I have ran out of demo days...
anyone?

Posted by esskeh on Jul-11-2001 08:45:

ive used Mixvibes Pro (Which im still using) Traktor is incredibly powerful but i prefer not to have the BPM. Plus i cant find a flippin "Demo Extender"

Who cares, Technics in a matter of months \o/

Posted by phasedout on Jul-12-2001 02:41:

why don't you try virtual turntables from carrot innovations. Its a pretty good program, me and my friend have been using it for like 2 years now and its straightforward simple.

You can check it out at
http://www.carrotinnovations.com

Too bad there aren't any new versions because the developer doesn't have anymore time to work on it, and also he's trying to make it open source.

Posted by dasun on Jul-12-2001 03:04:

the ez-ist program i have found is ATOMIXMP3, if your just getting started, its good cuz it has a atomatic beat match. Give it a try.

Just search for ATOMIXMP3 on Google.com

hope that helps.
