this song won me a sound card already, what are you going to give me? :D

I won a pretty nice sound card with my latest song Identity (Click here to download the track.)It's high energy melodic trance. I want to make a longer, club compatible version (this competition had a 3:30 time limit), so if you got any ideas on what to add in a longer cut (about 6 to 8 minutes), please tell me, or if you don't, maybe just leave a comment?

Thanks for listening!

ahh your song from evoke..

i remember you from the demoscene days.. dont think you'd remember me.. i had a release on TDR (early early days though)..

anyway love the song.. production is crisp with very nice mastering.. melody is very powerful and energetic. i love the acidy sweeps during the second 'verse' section and then the sweeping strings you bring in just after that are subtle and very kewl too..

cant really say nething bad about this.. make an extended version!!!! all the song needs is just some awesome breakdowns and buildups!! keep us posted.

Thumbs up

This is great! Nice, fast, energetic, and it stays to the point! This track is POWER man!

It reminds me a bit of 'old sk00l' with the melody being the way it is, with it's 'arp' style, but that's okay I guess - you got some good FX goin on! Great synths, great FX, and it sounds freshly mastered! WOW! I turned my speakers all the way up, and I could just feel the 'freshness'.

Great producing effort! LOVE IT! -Mental

Thanks everybody for your kind words!

I already found some stuff to fix and i'm going to follow phorte's advice and make a massive breakdown for the longer version - it's just that kind of tune

btw, phorte, i was drinking with prymer and paniq of tdr the day before yesterday

What did you use to make it?

Posted by Icone on Aug-28-2003 09:36:

Good one mate! I might be preferring a bit more melodies or so, but still it's very interesting. I wasn't too sure about all the chord changes though.

Congrats on that sound card, it's well deserved!

Greetz,
LW

heheh inquiring minds want to KNOW!

I use FireSledge Parametric EQ, and not that many VSTs actually - I do use one that a friend of mine wrote (originally a synthesizer for 64k intros). most of the rad sounds are produced by buzz exclusive synths - HD GS Pro, Infector, Ozo etc.
