final scratch is prety complicated to install cuz it partitions ur hard drive and then installs it..
they do this process to ensure that its stable

FS comes with linux. it is prob for the best...dont want a blue screen of death while mixing. linux wont crash which is why FS went with this OS.

Well that , and more so, because of the delay, I guess they stripped down a linux distro which got less delay than windows did..

I still don't get it..... FinalScratch, that is.

They're still mp3s, so they will still sound like ass on a big system

no, it plays .wav's as well as raw audio cd format...

yes, if your playing shit mp3's you downloaded off the net its going to sound like shit..

but stick to .wav format your work/promo's and you should be fine..

Anyways, just thought I would clear that up.

Um, you're implying that 192 kbps MP3s sound as good as CDs and that CDs sound far worse than vinyl. Both of those are highly debatable but the first is clearly erroneous -- MP3s of any bitrate will never sound as good as CD or vinyl, and the louder you play them the more obvious this difference is. However it's a moot point because you shouldn't be playing MP3s anyway unless you're just messing around at home...
