need a DJ name... got any ideas?

I need a DJ name... been thinking of a few...

DJ Aren (my first name)
DJ Lithum
DJ Nodus
DJ Rowt
DJ Crash
DJ Nyte

I'm just not sure.... and I'm thinking of not even putting DJ in from of the name (it's a bit over-rated).... but yea... some friendly input would be much appreciated. and let me know if any names are already taken.

Very true Elmo. I'm trying to think of one myself. I had a decent sounding one but I lost what it was. Doh. Ever since one of my friend's it's just been "dj kurfew" or "kurfew" it's annoying...I want something else. That suits me.

My mates called me Marky-G (Nickname)
But there is already a dj called that
but spelt Mark E.G!
spelt differently but they sound the same

shall i just stick to it?

I say go for firstname + lastname...if you think your last name doesn't sound catchy you can always take something nifty as last name (like for example kai tracid )

Why dont u just call your self "wave"?

Or "endless" for that matter. Not dj endless..just endless

I like 'endless'...its mysterious because your not sure what its refering to and it hints that the music isnt going to stop.

Wave is catchy too, like sound wave.

Be creative. Kurfew doesnt work.

Just use Dj Aren and your initial e.g. Dj Aren K.or whatever.. It's best to put DJ in front when making flyer.. sounds more professional.. then when you're widely known you can choose to go without..

DJ Aren D is not so great..my last name initials are actually DJ, b/c there's 2 capitals, and that just sounds more cheesy.
my last name is dutch, which is kewl, but it just doesn't sound dutch (like corsten).
I do produce music as well, so someting professional I agree with.

"Aren" is beautiful, what's wrong with just "Aren"? I think that would be great as a DJ name, sounds a lot more professional than "DJ Aren" or DJ-anything, if you ask me.

If you think "Aren" is too short, use Aren X., where "X" is the first letter of your last name.

My rule of thumb for DJ names is that if you don't have a name that you always had in mind, or if you can't think of one, it's generally a better idea to just use your real name, because if you can't think of one right now, if you do decide on a DJ moniker, you will regret that particular one later on.

So just "Aren" is fine, IMO.

I got it from an old movie with Weird Al Yankovich and Michael Richards called "UHF"....and weird al enters the channel 6 room acting like rambo and then he's like 'redrum, Reeeedddrummmmmmm'

at first it was a joke kinda name, but it sounds pretty cool after all

Elmo.. RedRum is pretty damn good too... with or without the DJ in front...

I'm still scrambled as to what's good and what isn't..I agree with "Aren", but it seems to short.

I personally am not a fan of make-believe names, such as DJ DOMINATORRRRRRRRRRRR! lol...its so cheesy. Just go with a real name, first and last. Make it up if you have to, but no fake slang names. Tiesto is the only one who gets away with it, notice everyone else who is respected and big have a real name.

Another Note: My Name is Steven Michael Hays, I use Evan Almae!
and...Paul van Dyk, the van Dyk is not his real last name, and Jon Obir's name is not real either!
