Aperently having a verson 4 is unlucky, dunno if u know of psion palmtop computers but it went from psion seriec 3c-mx to series 5, they skiped 4 as well.

I use Winamp 2.91 'cuz it is much faster at loading. Also I can use the MP3Cue plug-in, thus allowing me to see what songs I'm listening to within a set.

If so, that's messed up for putting it here on TA. I thought it was a beta/alpha version. I'll be pissed that it's some stupid scam, that I installed.

Winamp 5 is to be a hybrid of 2 and 3. It uses the Winamp 2 core and API (for plugins) and it uses the winamp 3 skinning engine. I sincerely doubt there is an alpha out yet.

yeah it was originally posted by www.ntfs.org, who normally get their news and info right.

from speaking to others who have used this the playback features (based from winamp 2) are ok, which is no supprise to me, where the bugs lie are from the skinnging.
