As i say these are all approx and from last year,
so all of these would have added to there collection
for sure.
There are no Armin, Ferry, Oakey or Norman Cook in this list
(dont know Why?)

Biggest Collections i reckon is between
David Morales, Carl Cox, Oakey or Norman Cook,
i can see why cos they have been round for a LONG
time.

WOW those r some almighty collections.

I know Marco tries to keep his collection at a steady 2000 or something. When he has more, he gives his old stuff away...

Posted by pnuemo on Aug-30-2003 04:41:

i say sasha... cause oakenfold probably gets rid of old shit...

Posted by Z1D on Aug-30-2003 07:18:

I'd say Oakenfold almost for sure.
For a minute I thought those numbers were 80, 100, etc and was going to say something, then I remembered you crazy Europeans use the decimal point instead of a comma or a space

Posted by Cobalt on Aug-30-2003 07:24:

Wasn't it shown somewhere that Carl Cox had the most?

Posted by Monkey Mouse on Aug-31-2003 14:51:

I know that the late Jam Master Jay (RUN DMC) had 150,000+ records.

Don't forget that there are a lot of multiple copies of each song that they have - and they are mostly give-mes (promos).

Posted by rainbow_marble on Aug-31-2003 15:05:

i dont even see how its possible to own that many records, lol.

Posted by torontotrance on Sep-01-2003 03:20:

some of these deejays refuse to get rid of records

some had to find new places to store all their stuff

Posted by Fkwebeman on Sep-01-2003 12:41:

i think oakenfold.. Pvd, Tiesto and Carl Cox closing in on second..

Posted by Walter Mindz on Sep-13-2003 05:26:

How about other... I'm sure Frankie Bones just blows everyone out of the water, since he's been DJing pretty much since 1980 or earlier.

Posted by bachatu on Sep-14-2003 01:33:

I would say armin for the amount of promos he gets sent to him to play on his show, but then again, he hasnt been around for that long, so probably someone else who has been collecting for a longer time.

Posted by SgtFoo on Sep-14-2003 03:40:

HappyHappy

I can't imagine how before they leave to go on tour or even for one gig, they would choose only a fewrecord bags full out of so many thousands.... how the hell can you know where and what everything is, and wether or not it'll be sufficient for the set??!!!!

it truly boggles the mind

Posted by You aint Ninja on Sep-14-2003 05:15:

*looks up*

i would have to say ... David Morales.

Posted by infinity0908 on Sep-14-2003 22:41:

lol i voted for Oakenfold too.
cuz he plays almost all stuff out there..

Posted by butterfly420 on Oct-09-2003 22:08:

Come to think of it... I bet Deep Dish has a lot of records. I would have to say Carl Cox too. He is da man!

Posted by torontotrance on Oct-10-2003 20:53:

hawtin had to get more space for his collection. I saw an interview with him on television and richie had this huge room full of records and he says that's only half of my stuff.

Posted by Magnetonium on Oct-13-2003 09:28:

Dunno So many livesets, so many CDs, so many .....

and that's why I'd have to choose the great Oakenfold. After all, even though he might not have the biggest vinyl collection, he surely went through more vinyls that any other DJ ........ hee hee

Smiley DJ

I think Oaky. He has been around for the longest!!
