Id like to upgrade from PMC-05 to the 07, is it worth spending 300 on? Thanks

You are talking about vestax battle mixers right?
The main difference is the way the EQ is set up... while you have a 3 band EQ on the 07 as opposed to a 2 band on the 05 I still think that the price difference doesn't justify itself.

If you have an interest in Hip Hop and you still want to keep spinning tunes that way, then by all means stick with what you have. If you are looking to improve as a trance DJ you may want to consider something else.
If you are looking to get something in the same price range as a PMC 07 then why not try the Pioneer DJM 500 (Not suitable for turn tablism) as the layout conforms to pretty much most mixers you get these days. Not to mention the fact that it's a damn good mixer with good EQs.

I also have a PMC 05 but I only really use it for when I want a play around. The problem with the battle mixers is that they have very sharp channel controls... very all or nothing type basis. The EQs are slightly different too.

Bottom line is that I don't think it's worth it.
Naturally the choice is yours.
