PVD at Summerstage Review
Wow... Did he ever flop. At first, there was skipping, TWICE, right at the beginning. He also had a pretty bad selection of songs...
Also, the crowd seemed to be out of it. Looks like he won't be coming back for a while. People were barely dancing...
Personally, I think it went pretty bad, especially when he ended up playing ATRC TWICE...
wow ur kidding!
kinda makes me glad i didnt spend a lot of money to go up and see it now...
I think you're being a bit picky... the energy got a lot higher as the night went on, after the sun went down, at least in the crowd I was with...
and by the time he put on For An Angel, everyone's hands were in the air.

Tracklist anyone??
I actually thought the track selection wasn't all that bad. I was really disappointed with the sound system. If the sound system was a lot better I think it would have been a much better event. There weren't too many friendly people there either. I got shoved around recklessly without a care.
wow, I had a blast, and loved it. I got there an hour or so late, but here are the songs I remembered...
Empire(PVD mix)
For an Angel
ATRC
Nothing But You as his closer
Time of our Lives (twice)
Dreamland
James Holden - Nothing
Carrera 2 (Nu NRG Mix)
Connected
Tiesto - Traffic
Rank 1 - Breathing (breaks mix)
and a few more that are esacping me rigbht now.
I had a great night. For the kind of event that it was, I thought he did awesome.
he also dropped nick rafferty & paul kershaw - we are connected (sunfire mix)
that and dreamland made my night.
I thought it was a good show.. it sucked a little in the beggining... but it got better as the night went on. And the people were wild, but thats because I was allllllllll the way in the front, as close to PVD as you can get
and by the end of the night it got really packed and wild with everyone rubbing their sweaty bodies against one another. It was alot of fun, but I'm not sure if it was worth $30.. it should have been cheaper.
I didnt like it when he played ATRC twice; once was bad enough.

The only thing I'll complain about is that damn beach ball. It seemed that thing was like a homing missle. It kept on coming at me and my girl and everyone started jumping and trying to hit it, all the while I was getting elbowed to he back of the head and stepped on. I actually had to go towards the back during the last hour because my girl got a little hurt. All in all, i thought it was a pretty special night.
Yanik, you're fucked up. This set left me speechless. it was abso-fuckin-lutely out of this world. holy shit, if you missed it, you missed a once in a lifetime event. I'm not being sarcastic, it was AMAZING.
hey it wasn't that bad, at first there was the skipping, and then he repeated about 3 tracks throughout the set, don't know why, but in the end I enjoyed myself, the women and the atmosphere, will be seeing him again on Thanksgiving, November 26 for Utopia- I think, so he will be back in New York for you naysayers and nabobs of negatavism. PVD showed why he is the man, when you can take an unestablished trance setting such as Summerstage and put on an outdoor event. He is indeed the Trancenmeister (Trance Master) for you English only speakers.
I had a great time there, me and my crew made the best out of it and took in everything and made a sick night out of it. Did any of u see ant. or aka second sun. he was the one runnig back and fourth in front of paul when crush was on. Thats my boy mad chill, hope u all got a chance to say whats up to him. anyways night was good could of been louder my only complaint and the bathrooms omg the wait was sickening

all i can say is WOW! this was absolutely motherfuc*** sick!! the song before the last one was great!! too much second hand weed smoking but thats all right. repeats dont bother me either, if they are good that is. it was a great night, absolutely wonderful night.
i LOVED that set...mmmmmmm for an angel!!!!!
I have to agree. Despite the poor sound system (damn neighbors always tellin them to turn it down) but what can you do. He did repeat Crush, ATRC, and Time of our Lives but that is my only complaint with the tracklist. I thought once the sun went down the energy was AMAZING. The people around me never stopped moving and feeling every single track so that made it an awesome experience. It is definately a different venue to have something like this so that was cool as well. It is not too often in new york that you get to see a great show completely outside (no tents) on a gorgeous night.
Tracklist was definately strong. Personal highlights:
Ralphie B- Massive (TPOD mix) havent heard it in forever.
Second Sun- Empire (TPOD mix) so powerful
Marco V- For a Revolt
PVD vs. Second Sun- Crush
Alot of the tracks from Reflections. Most of them were epic in style.
Mixing was above average on the whole.
Cant wait for November
What was the song right before Dreamland? That was sick!
i ended up going myself cause all my friends had work and no one could come, so i just sold my extra ticket. i got in there and sat down for like 10 minutes and everyone started rushing to the front when pvd came on stage. i was at the very front wearing my brazillian soccer shirt. it was slow at the beginning, it didnt seem like the people were getting into it much... but once the sun went down and the lights came on i saw hands in the air.. just not as much as i would have expected. i liked his set even though he did some repeats. a lot of good looking girls... especially in the front. i thought he was on till 11 so that kind of dissappointed me. overall i enjoyed it a lot, got a lot of dancing in, and the atmosphere was average.
