one thing i hate...

i cant stand it when a track is sounding really hot, then goes into this amazing original great sounding quiet instrumental portion (or whatever you call that part before the song explodes) and then all of a sudden the hot beat isnt used at all and the amazing instrumental goes unused...a good example of this is in dj energy - enter the future (pulsemaster mix) or in mass effect - alphascan (arome mix)...are they trying to be unpredictable? cause lately its being done so much that i almost expect a change now in the beat and i hope there wont be...what do you guys think of this???

I think i get what you mean.......Quite often i experience this:

I hear this great track......Sweeeeeeet buildups i just wait for that final "Veracocha" likely break....and....and....here it comes...and....Awwwww! Fuck it! Damn! Just some cheesy base drum followed by the melody....tottally missed that filly, warm sound i always look for.....is this what you meant?

that is definitely part of it..where this incredible sound is forming and it fizzles into this corny toned down version of the awesome beat...but also where there is this awesome beat forming and it doesnt get used at all in the following part of the song..thats even worse then having a shitty version of the good beat..for it to not even be used at all in the main part of the song!

I know exaclty what you mean... I hate how the Arome Remixes has the awesome build , then just doesn't continue it. It's so frustrating! I was only thinking about this the other day actually. Tiesto's Remix of Innocent does the same thing, it's a good track though.
