Unhappy Absynth or Fruity loops Studio

I am new to making trance music and dream style rave ,I am using Absynth and Cakewalks home Studio xl 04

my question is what would be my best bet on making Trance style melodies,Chords, and pads in Absynth also where would I begin to make some wicked leads? by using Absynth

I don't want to copy anyone if someone could just tell me how to get started in the right direction to make a rough trance patch etc.

Like something youd hear in a Nyc underground club or

on one of these cds Like Tranzworld you can listen to some clips here of what im talking about

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...=glance&s=music

If Absynth isn't really for Trance would you recommend Fruity Loops Studio ? As I really did not like Reason

seems like you're a bit confused there..

Fruityloops is an sequencing/arranging program like Reason, while Absynth is just an instrument, that can be used as a VST.

Fruity is simpler than Reason, and has support for VST's like Absynth, unlike Reason. However, people say that Fruity doesn't have the sound quality Reason has.

You can't make a trance tune only with Absynth cause it's just an instrument, it doesn't sequence anything.

You can make a tune with Fruity and Absynth, but it'd be hard to make a decent track with this setup. However, making a track is VERY complex, and you can learn gradually from using this setup.

I hope I didn't say anything wrong there
