Love Parade (Berlin) - who's going???

Hey, just a 'lil over two weeks to go. Then it will be time for the worlds biggest party ever!!! I was curious if anybody made up his/her mind and is definitely going there. I'm going, and I will be on a truck!
It would be cool to meet some fellow TAs. I know there are not many Germans on the board, but I met a lot of dutch people in the last years...so who will be there? JPLoveparade? (haven't seen him in a while...

I was going, but now the date has been changed to 21st of july, I CANT!!!

I planned my vacation a week after the loveparade, so I could go to Berlin, but now some bastards changed the date, and my vacation is too expensive too miss out on...

that's too bad! Those bastards were the Berlin government !
It's not even a demonstration this year. They had to make it commercial in order to get the permission to do it at all. Sucks.

Nope.
I planned on going there last year, but none of my friends wanted to come along (they don't like the music that much) and it's a 9 hour ride I think, so I wont go that far alone.
This year some new friends wanted to come along, but now I can't go.

I watched last year's (and the year before) on television though. It's awesome. But too bad it's just the parade that's broadcasted.
(at least that's the only part I saw)

I'm going!!!!!!!!!!!!! Together with b/f, 2 other gurlies and 3 other guys....!!!

We've booked to go with an organized bustour (www.husk.nl) and we'll be leaving fridaynight..arriving saturdaymorning (if there aren't too much trafficjams haha)..and leaving again on saturdaynight/sundaymorning!!!!!! God..I'm looking forward to it..just don't know what to wear yet..cuz it has to be something different I guess....

Myabe we can meet up..or if you tell me which truck you're on...maybe you can reserve a few spots haha

What do I need to know about LP? I live quite far away from Germany,and whole Europe - in Ukraine,but I do want to go there.
Tell me,plz,the most common things 'bout it,expenses,prices and so on and maybe i'll meet u there

People who live in Europe (espcially NL/DE) are so lucky , i wish i could go there

I mean... the love parade is still one of the biggest events in Europe. And usually has the most visitors.

I'm going with a couple of friends, also with an organized bus trip.
I hate busses but its worth the trip...

i was planning 2 go dis year, but things got kind of fucked up coz of moving 2 a new home ne wayz...im savin money 4 sure, 4 da next year or da year after, besides my cousin lives in Munich, all i wud have 2 do is fly 2 Munich and den drive about 550km 2 Berlin

cool! Proxi will be there . I can't tell you the exact name of the truck,yet. It will be something like "North Energy". I will DJ on it, just as last year. We had Gary D., Mirko Milano, Arne L II and Melanie Di Tria on it, last year...so cool! Unfortunately, I cannot reserve a "few spots" on the truck, even as a DJ. I can only take one person and this will be my gf . But we have some tickets left. They are quite expensive = 200 DM.
So we also have CJ Slater and Carte Blanche

well, you can get a lot of info at www.loveparade.de but the basics are: Berlin, July 21st. About 14:00 german time. 1500000 people. All the big DJs. Free entry. No age limits. Party on the streets till midnight, then in Berlin's clubs and raves. Only thing you have to pay for will be the ride to Berlin and maybe a hotel. Lots of people sleep outside in a tent or their car or don't sleep at all .

Oh. One more cool thing: July 14th, on which the Loveparde was supposed to happen, there will be a demonstration to support the Loveparade as a demonstration (and not a commercial party). It'll be in Hamburg and is called "Love The Parade". Dr. Motte ("inventor" of the Loveparade) will be there and it's basically gonna be a parade with trucks and everything through Hamburg. I'm there

Great idea!! But the only means of transport we have available now is our bikes..haha...and I'm NOT gonna cycle the 400 km haha

A bit to far for me. Don't have a caror a g/f who has a car.

i think its the Biggest Single Music Event in the world...... around 2 million people this year i heard....... there isnt a Electronic music or any type of music event come close to the size of the Loveparade....=).........and i think the LoveParade was the First organzied Electronic music event in the world..... it was the beginner of all Massive Raves!!!

I went a few times..Last year the weather wasnt that good...but I had SO MUCH FUN!!!!!! LoveParade is something to really have to see once in your life time..... million people ..not all German..people from around the world..i met so many amazing people at the love Parades when i went...from Brazil,Italy,Spain,Japan,Australia,England,Holland,Belgium,French,etc.... i just wish i could go this year..i dont have the cash and time this year to fly back home this summer

Actually, I only found people that I did not have a date with. When we tried to meet somewhere on purpose, it never worked (this is my 8th LP, btw).
The only way to make sure you meet is meeting before the parade starts. And a little away from the parade. Like: parade starts at 14:00 (?). Meet at 12:00 at some train station or restaurant.
Is that an option? I'll be in Berlin friday night.
@ Jesus: I won't be at Columbiahalle. Have to save some energy for the parade and afterparties...

I think it would be best to be on the look out for a red-haired skinny guy with brown complexion.. armed with a Pyscho t-shirt (about as creative as M�nchenrs get ) and phat pants...

hopefully we will run into each other...

that's cool. But if you decided on an outfit, let us know. Maybe I'll see you by chance...seen your pic here at TA. Should be easier to find me, cause I'm on a truck
