my friends and I did an event there June 2001 for the launch of their company. The venue is great, but a bit cavernous so the sound is def. muffled in a lot of places. As long as you stay on the dancefloor in the middle you will be ok. Upstairs has no sound whatsoever and is a complete waste of space for EDM. Its a giant space that can easily hold 4,000 people

the sound at hammerstein DOES suck. but i don't care. it should be fun aside from security kicking you out the minute the show is over. i have never been to hammerstein past 4am.
