-- Line-in recorder NOT musicmatch

Posted by DJ_Talure on Jan-04-2001 23:34:

im looking for a line in recorder so i can rip off of my vinylz
i have used musicmatch and it was horrible, always left skips in it, even when i converted directly to wav and not mp3
names of other line-in recorders and where i could possibly get them would be great, thanks./

Just hit the record button, you'll get a pop-up hit the record button again and it will start recording.
It's very easy... only I'm not a good teacher.

yes but i mean from line-in recording
thats only for mic recording that it does that
i get silence if i just do that
ive tried that before of course

Its not so hard!

Hit the record button!
A new window will appear.. Configure it
to the quality you want to record in

Then fill in the little square on the window so
you can se in real time how high the in signal is.
(It should NOT go up to RED)

And remeber that you probably not can connect
your turntable direct to youre soundcard
because it probably dosent have any phono line in.
I have talked to people that have missed that

SOUNDFORGE can record both from line in and from mic!
if you get silence then you probably havent turned
up the volume on the windows speaker setting on line in!

Trust me this works i have ripped a lot of records this
way and in great quality

Read This!

oh no,
ive got my mixer hooked up to the tables, and my line in on my soundcard is connected to my unblalanced line out-put
i used musicmatch and theres a direct option to record from line in.
when i connect it to the mic, i get a buzzing sound thats really annoying, through line in the quality is perfect (besides the small bits of dust on my vinyls)
ive checked even the help file for line in recording
nothing
what do the release groups like bmi and pow use
id like to get ahold of something like that

Yes i have the same problem on my MIC in !
Think that channel is kind of shitty and cant handle
all signals from a mixer. Its probably set so that only
a mic kan be used on it with good quality!

I still dont see why you can use SOUNDFORGE!
i have a digital box connected to my soundcard
on line in.And the result i get when i rip from
the radio stations that runs over the "digital"
tv network i get really great result. You need to have
great ears to hear the diffrens from cd quality.

I have 2 Sl1200 and one pioneer DJM 500 i hoock
that mixer also up on my soundcard on line in
and then i use SOUNDFORGE to record my 12" to
.wav and then convert to .mp3..Works fine for me

Optionally, use EZCD Creator Deluxe (Spin Doctor).
Good jitter correction.
