TrancEaddicts Unite Chapter 3

After a long consideration and based on your opinions I will continue this on more or less the same basis than the previous ones. The only difference now is that MaRt shall be assisting me with compiling the tracklist and stuff.


Here are some guidelines:
1) I'm looking for about 20 tunes, so be quick. If you're too late - tough. 20 is the absolute maximum of tracks I'm going to use to prevent the final mp3/ogg filesize from getting too high.

2) I'm accepting entries for two weeks. That means every track sumbitted after 18th of this month will be ignored unless you people are too lazy and do not submit enough tunes

3) I'm trying to showcase your work here, so original work would be preferred. Remixes for other amateur artists are fine, though, if the original artist knows about it. In any case do not send unauthorised remixes of commercial tunes. (Commercial = anything that's been signed and/or released)

4) Trance tracks (subgenre irrelevant) and serious entries only. The genre limitation isn't too strict but at least make it trancey, no drum'n'bass or stuff like that

5) We hold the right to pick any tunes we want but the first 19 (I'm putting one of my own there so that takes a spot) tracks are to be handled first. I'm only putting your tune aside if it's not good enough (in which case - tough).

6) I want the tracks to be as high quality as possible. That means a good encoding and a fully finished tune. No demo versions. If you have troubles mastering stuff some help can be arranged. I'd hate to ditch a good tune because of bad mastering.

7) Make sure the tune you are submitting is mixable. I used a couple of tracks last time that had no outro whatsoever which was a real pain in the ass and the mixes sounded bad. I'm not doing it again.

8) When submitting tunes, only put 1 down at a time. We are not going to go through your entire back catalogue to see what fits. If your first tune gets rejected, then try another.

9) This is a mix from a TrancEaddict to the TrancEaddicts. This means I shall not be accepting tunes by people who have only registered here to get their tune in the mix (unless the tune is pretty fuckin' good ).

Anyone who chooses to ignore these guidelines shall get ignored as well.

Submit your tunes by leaving a link here or by PM'ing me or MaRt (preferably both) and we shall grab the tune. Filesize is not a restriction (for me anyway) so don't worry about it.

yeah, seems like i'm the only judge that works fast enough..

i won't bring up the tranceaddict anthem yet though, it would be too much to handle on this forum..

i started to remake my track today.. started from the ground, but with almost the same sounds and such so it wount take so long to get it finished with an intro/outro and such.

should have it finished before the time is out

sure.. i will let you know... mostly mastering issues left... and maybe some more work on the percussions and a little more stuff.

but it should be finished for the mixing

When mastering, does any1 here use Normalizing?? In SoundForge I use a default music normalize but tweked to about -15dB... wjat do you all set it at?
Also, what are you guys using to produce??
