Lounge Lab DanceXpress! Is there interest?
Hi! We're currently planning the Lounge Lab DanceXpress, a special train starting in Malm with a couple of great international DJs, changing line-up in Gothenburg and moving via Stockholm (new line-up) up to the utmost north where there will be an outdoor dance event under the midnight sun.
Working title: "Lounge Lab DanceXpress. A polar dance experience. Chillfactor 10."
The idea is that you can jump on and off at any time, or follow us up north. It will be a huge travel, during a full weekend.
I would like to invite all our colleagues to come up with a plan to fill one carriage. Uniting all Swedish party organizers in a unique plan and a weekend to remember (compare it to the FFWD Dance Parade or the Love Parade, only in a moving train).
But before we go into this further, I would like to have some input. What do you think? Would there be an interest for this ridiculous idea? Would you join in? What would you like to see on board... Etc. etc. etc.
sounds like a cool idea... but where too dance???
it's kinda little place in a train...
you would have to remove like all the seats and such..
but it's a cool idea... if you spare all the cool DJ's for gothenburg caus that's where i would join the party

hehe
sounds VERY cool.. so u are planning an outdoor party in the northern parts of sweden? during summer I guess
I will be on that train
definately a very cool idea! i would join the trip
I would jump on the train in sthlm without doubt's
sounds like a massive plan, wish I had come up with something like that myself
Well I'm always interested but some questions need answers first.
Like "DBL" said, where to dance? and when you stop in stockholm as an example, how long will you stay there? Sometimes I can go to far away places like down south or up north but there is always a risk that for some reason I wont be able to since it's far away.
How much would this cost? would the same DJ's be with the entire trip or would they circulate?
sounds like a really good idea, I'l enjoy seing the progress of this.

Definitifly a interesting idea
I guess the details aren't worked out yet, but if one chooses to follow all the way "up north", how would one return to wherever one came from (i.e. each persons own responsibility or some dedicated transport)?
Looking forward to some more info on this ... event
As long as I get my hands on a ticket Im on it... sounds like a very cool idea...
There have been alot of similar party trains organized in the past, over the winter there is alot of trains that goes up to the skiresort re in Sweden and often they have a train car without any chairs or anything, just a big floor and in one end a smal stage with a rockband so I deffenitly belive this will work
Keep working on this idea ! // Steve
wow this is a REALLLY COOL idea! i would defently be on it if the price where resonable!
the only problem as i see it is that trains are not that wide and therefore you can't have too big dance floors, of course you can have like 10 railroad cars with a dancefloor in each of them but there will be a BIG problem getting from car one to car ten!
i also think it's great that you ask us what we think before you arrange a big event like this!
this sounds great!
i would really like to hop pn that train. maybe we can put some movement on the (worthless) part of norrland, only the nature is worth keeping but its to far away from.. everyone to see it
i also, like other in here, wonder about how to get home(will you just leave us in nowhereland?
) and also about the space to move around on the trains
looking forward to the complete plan of this event

hahhaa consuments... (i'll be on that train anyway)
cabins = tgvagnar TROR ja., hahahaha
the cabins right.. I guess u can remove the seats and all.. of course
BUT... where will the dj stand? ppl have to be able to walk thru the train and all... seems kinda complicated and narrow, PLUS.. there cant be THAT many ppl on the train, cant get too crowded..
otherwise I see no problems with the idea
u could rent one of those sleepingcabins from sj too.. where ppl can sleep
and then u could have different genres in every cabin
like.. trance in one.. hardtrance in one
and techno in one
I dont really see the point of going to the northern parts of sweden, really.. sure I am a NORRLANDS-patriot.. because I come from Norrland
(Northland
) so I love the fact u are going up north
BUT there arent even any railways above stersund.. (inner parts) and the coast-railway ends in Hrnsand really.. Thats just 60 km north of Sundsvall, where I come from.. and Sundsvall is located in the exact middle of sweden.. 900 km to Kiruna, 900 km to Malm
right, now u got the geography-lecture of today
sure, they are planning to build Botniabanan.. but that wont be done in years.. if it ever will be built??
so my advice would be... start in malm, turn around in stockholm and go back to malm...

fortunaly i think you are wrong there glorie, at least my parents have gone by train to Lule, and I'm also pretty sure there is no problem going to places like Riksgrnsen by train...
and about the "going to Norrland" idea i think it's great. I would LOVE to dance in the middle of the night under the midnight sun! and the train has to go somewhere and then why not go to some cool place and experience something we probably never would do otherwise!
the more i think of this the more i see how great it whould be, but i also relize how expensive all this will be... a train all way up and back to the midnight sun isn't cheap! and if we are going to dance up there it can't be on the train station, probably we had to hire buses to get us somewhere more "in the middle of nowhere"....
I don't know but i think if you can't get the price under 1000kr it will be hard to fill up a train!
Edit:
hehe precis va lite seg o svara dr!

It's Tgcompaniet who masters the northern railways..
I dont think SJ is allowed to go with THEIR trains on that railway
