Lost Tribe - Gamemaster 2003
Lost Tribe - Gamemaster 2003
I searched for it and to my suprise no one has posted this yet.
Matt Darey puts a new spin on probably one of his biggest tracks ever. The 2003 remix features souped-up synths and a more intense build-up. Overall a nice remix that will get the club going to this amazing tune again, although nothing will top the original and the Signum remixes which are imo true trance classics.
another brilliant build-up ruined by a dreadful main melody..
fuck that, i want to hear the Digital Blonde remix
screw the Digital Blonde mix...Michael Woods mix all the way.
mattdarey.com has samples of all the mixes
The Digital Blonde remix owns you all.
now, any ideas about a release date?
wasnt there a shane 54 mix 2?
Lee Haslam has also done a remix of this (which has been engineered by Guyver) - which is actually very good also!

| Originally posted by Ozzie Haslam? arghhhh nooo, hes good but hes not THAT good, certainly not good enough to remix this - id say it needs a Glazby remix but he already did 'Dreams' which has the same melody as Gamemaster! |

what the fuck has he done!!!!
am sorry but this one doesnt even touch the original n signum, infact its pure shite compared to them
4/10 dont really like this at all, main lead is shite, it spoils the nice builds ups and other fx
ne1 else think the same as me????
i never liked this tune. flame me but this tune fuckin sucks
don't like this weird man-vocal
OMG! I must hear this, Gamemaster is still probally my favorite song, and it is the song that got me into trance. (thank you Oakey for Tranceport).
oh my, can't believe you guys don't like this? matt has done an absolutly fantastic job! he has kept the elements that made the original so good, but just given it a more pumping 2003 baseline!
i have to agree with Ande in some parts...even though this song has some bad factors but remember not all remakes sound good so treat this review as a remake review with low expectations...
BUT Matt Darey even said that he is taking the HARDER!! approach back up the ladder so he has lost that beautiful touch he was famous for...
6/10 for this remix.
BUT his remake of Li Kwan - Point Zero is a totally different story, 9/10 for that.
Haven't heard Darey's 2003 version, but I'm not too big on the Michael Woods Remix, as it lead by the "Quench - Dreams" riff which only plays a small part in the original mix. From the sample on Matt Darey's site, the Lee Haslam sounds like something very good, very energetic and is lead by the melody from the original, which can only be a good thing.
