Blame Everything on the Jews is a Good Strategy

I had hoped for an end to the PC movement--I guess it's spreading like a wave, globally. Grow some thicker skin people!
Huh? Middle East Arab States don't like Jews?

I only recently found out about that. When I started dating Malibu Stacy and my Mum told me to leave that "shikse" and get a decent barbie doll

I don't want to take position on this story, but all of you as westerners can't really understand the cultures and mind frame in those countries. Laughing about this story is one thing, but saying its wrong is another thing.
Don't talk or judge stuff that doesn't apply to your western lifestyle.
Barbies are Jewish? WTF?!?!
Ahh..I heard about this on the radio. Nothing new. The vice and virtue police in Iran banned barbie dolls years ago. I read a report that the #1 black market American item in Iran was the Barbie, something like 500,000 of them were sold there for the equivalent of a week's salary.
It is not just a Arab/Muslim thing though. There are many ultra-conservative Christian groups that would do the similar things if they were in power.
BTW Vesa: WTF are "barbie-style clothes"?
MrS
Well seeing as I am male and did not move past the phase of "jeans and a t-shirt" being the height of (and only) fashion about 4 years ago I have no clue as to what is cool or not these days.
Do these girls who imitate Barbie get breast augmentations so they can have the large cone-shaped breasts as well?

trivially because this "police" will reach out to the merchants and public alot quicker if they promote the ban of the product as jewish since it is.. well.. saudi arabia! Honestly, this kind of shit sickens me in the worst ways.

| Originally posted by ahlamalek Its easier for them to promote the ban when branding something as being "jewish". There's some strong sentiment against jews in the middle east and with a reason, |

ahlamalek, the point is you said:

i don't think its racism, its political. Saudis also don't like Americans, can you say its because of their race? not really.
You can say it's because of Western culture, and culture is very similar to religion/race/etc.
can someone please elaborate on how this is Racist?
i really dont think i should be explaining why this is racist. the mear fact that they singled this out as being a 'jewish' toy pretty much narrows it down. now if they said that this toy was morally wrong, or does not fit their society then yes who am i to judge but when along with that they isolate it and say it is also banned becuase it is 'jewish' then yes that is morally disgusting. can you not see my point. what next, ban all jews from entering saudi? oh wait nm that is already in affect.
if anybody thinks that the policies of saudia arabia are not racist, then they should really open up a dictionary and a history book and look at racism
what they say, is that the doll is morally wrong and MOREOVER just to help promote the ban, that it is Jewish.
wait, Christians aren't allowed too in Saudi... but then again, this is the official rules, but in reality, there's Jews and Christians in there.

let me add something, its easy in these times to hate Americans and Jews in the Middle east. I don't know if you remember the Pepsi / Coke contreversy in Israel/Middle east, at that time hating American products was in vogue , even tho bottlers were the proprety of locals.
same thing, goes for some American hating french, and french products. Its an esay target.

AND hey buddy, thats how it is over there, it not our little ghey debate on TA that would affect anything, keep that in mind. We can talk about how things are and what they should be all day long, reality is different and won't change for a while, worst there's nothing on the bright side to help things change. |
