I believe in a similar concept, and it seems to work for me

Posted by Aya Brea on Sep-12-2003 19:16:

Posted by qwest on Sep-12-2003 19:18:

I do believe in Karma just not sure exactly what it is to be honest.

Posted by LiveTheDream on Sep-12-2003 19:18:

nope

Posted by eXo on Sep-12-2003 19:19:

Yes, what goes around, comes around.

Posted by Orbax on Sep-12-2003 19:20:

if karama existed, I wouldnt

Posted by qwest on Sep-12-2003 19:21:

websters dictionary states:

\Kar"ma\, n. [Skr.] (Buddhism) One's acts considered as fixing one's lot in the future existence. (Theos.) The doctrine of fate as the inflexible result of cause and effect; the theory of inevitable consequence.

I'm still sorta lost... I believe in fate.

yes, i believe in it.

however, it's not a mystical force that comes and gets you it's just common sense.

for example, you walk down the street and smile at someone they smile back. you punch someone, they punch you back.

it works on a higher level too though, like if your whole community gets together and does something good, then another community will try to do the same.

how can you believe in something that you don't know, that you cannot define?

it's like believing in God, it is absurd.

Posted by qwest on Sep-12-2003 19:37:

you must have missed my last post. I believe more in fate than karma.

god bless.

Just what he sead

Some with luck, you are by chance going to get good luck and bad luck in your life.

Coincidences are the same. Take meeting you perfect partner, There are alot more then just opne perfect partner out there and some way you will meet him/her, and you will say what a coincidences it was that we whent into the the same pub that day, it must oif been fate

No it was not fate if you did not go into that pub on that day you would of gone to anyther pub anther day and meet a diffrent perfet partner

And it is not a coincidences that you walked into an old mate, if you have and had alot of freands, by chance you will walk into one of our old mates at one point or anther.

Bla bla bla bla

that's not true. I believe in karma because it's more comprehendable to me than the idea of God being our creator, etc.

I can easily comprehend that what goes around comes around, because it's nowhere near as complex as God, the theory of creation, and heaven/hell. not believing in God does not mean to not have morals, & karma helps to set out some morals.
