Oakenfold and John B.

I notice that Oakenfold plays a lot of tracks by an artist named John B. Most of these tracks are bad ass, like the Electrofreek track. Who is this guy? I have been unable to find any information or anything on vinyl for this artist.

John B is a legend and one of the leading dnb djs and producers in the world. If you can't find anything about him you're not looking well enough.

Oakenfold heard John B from a Mixmag cover CD "Trance n' Bass - Mixed by John B", about 6 months ago. Oakenfold rang Mixmag who duly sent him some of John B's productions, and i believe he's now signed to Perfecto. Hence the number of John B tunes Oakenfold is spinning.

my friend actually had John B here a few months ago, and I had the pleasure of speaking with him. He told me that Oakie actually asked him to do a 4/4 mix of Mercury skies. Which is one of the records thats on Great Wall along with Electro Freak

electrofreek is my fave dnb tune ever, how oakenfold fits 175 bpm dnb tunes into a 140 bpm trance set doesnt quite fit with me tho

John b did 4/4's of some of his songs. Oakenfold has also done some remix's of john b's stuff.

Not to mention, Oakenfold has always played DNB in his sets. Its called 'Intro' and 'outro' ;[

I'm not really optimistic about John B signing to Perfecto, but I'd rather listen to the tunes before saying anything

I knew about the DnB Jon B, I was unaware he was doing 4/4 productions now. He has made some awesome stuff. I hope some of it sees a release.
