dude, fucking airplane modeling is one of my long-forgotten hobbies... RC airplanes / choppers were my childhood dream... i wouldn't mind having one now, but they're like expensive and shit... i'd want a good one, though.

You just want to pull a "Revenge of the NERDS" and fly it through some sorority house with a camera mounted to it. Admit it

how come that chopper doesnt get sucked to earth and crash very quickly when it turns upside down without the rotors reversing direction?

On RC helis the blades pitch to acheive lift. To go inverted you use negative pitch instead of positive. Heres a better answer from a pro:
quote:
In normal mode, you have a pitch curve ranging from -5deg to 9.5, and youre throttle from 0 to 100 %.
In stunt mode pitch range from-9.5 to 9.5, and youre throttle range in 5 points 100, 75, 50, 75, 100. "ideally".
So, when you are up side down, the curves mirror each other from zero. Stick postion and movement change, But that what makes this hobby fun.

I have fond memories of that movie.....saw it when I was 7 years old we were moving from Albuquerque to Champaign, IL and were staying at temporary family housing at Chanute AFB the first night we got to town. Was on HBO and my dad let me watch...ahhhh the mammaries

To get a full blown package will cost 900.00 us. Lots and i mean lots of time is required. But the hobby does not get booring since there is always something to try + repair. Have a look at www.heliproz.com if your intrusted.
