Maximum sig size....

I don't know if there is a way to do it automaically (like with the avatars) but I have noticed a lot in the last few days that there are many people who have really tall and or wide sigs. I like the fact that you have a size guideline, sigs should be small

I just hate having to hit "page down" on my keyboard or scroll sideways because someone's sig is taking up too much space.

I guess while I am "ranting" my sig size wishlist I should add that in this perfect world where the sigs automatically conform, a text only sig should be able to fit inside the same physical box as an image only. Some people have sigs that are longer than 99% of their posts and take up half a screen by themselves.

I know the mods have stuff to do other than policing sigs all day. I was mod on a board for while a couple years ago with a LOT less members and it was quite a chore to keep up on mod type things while still being able to post. So I am not asking them to go �ber Gestapo on sigs or anything....just wondering if/wishing that there is any automated way to take care of this.

All mods on ta can edit sigs, and if a user consistently breaks the sig rules their sig can be suspended as well (i think)

its nice we can have so big sigs here you dont see much forums that have that possibility so you have to keep to the rules

i know my sig is a tad oversized, but since it's only text it shouldn't matter too much

Look at the sigs.

You have two options:

1) Go Insane
2) Never complain about ta's sig sizes again

The rules are:

500x150, 50000 b and one or two lines of text. Text only sigs should not have more than 10 lines. There are usually always enough mods present to notice extrem case like the ones you`ve described where you had to scroll sidewards.

Btw: You can turn off sigs in your profile if e.g. your brwosing speed suffers from them or they annoy you too much.

Oh I am not saying they are the biggest around...I have seen some that are pretty much a desktop picture in size..

I was just ranting a little bit and wondering if there was any way to automatically control it. That's all.

Mr. S: I was kiddding . An automated resizer can be done with avatars, so perhaps with a bit of changing it could be converted to sigs somehow.
