Unhappy I need love adive!

Well, I have been seeing this guy for about a month now. The problem is that he barely has time for me. He just bought a new car, so he works ALOT to pay the bills! 7 days a week from 7:30 am- 9:30 pm. He gets a break on Tuesdays... 7:30 am- 12:30 pm.

For the first 3 weeks, he put alot of effort into seeing me and showed more affection, etc. He told me things like i am the only happiness in his life, and he really cares about me, etc. He used to text msg me on my cell like 5 times a day saying "i miss u"... and cute little things like that. He still does all this, but not as often.

Now, I'm lucky if i see him 1 or 2 times a week for a few hours, and whenever i do see him, he is sleepy amd exhausted (which i understand). I've never been on a real "date" with him. Actually, we went to dinner a couple times, and the rest of the times, we just chill at his house or friends house.

I was really upset last night, so i called him and had a talk with him. I told him "i totally understand u work alot, but how am i supposed to get to know u better and build a relationship with u if we never spend quality time together and do fun things?" "What have u done to prove to me that u actually want a relationship with me"?

He tells me he really cares about me, and wants us to work out. but sometimes i doubt him . Because i think if he REALLY wanted to see me and spend quality time with me, he would put more effort.

What do u guys think????

Go visit him at work?

And then walk in on him banging a coworker.

Or call the TV show 'Cheaters'.

this might be a personal question but did you sleep with him yet? if you have....hes slowly pushing you away. guys will do this all the time. they get what they want and next thing you know, they dont have time for you. take it from somebody that knows.....ive played that game before although i will admit, im not like that anymore.....my pimpin days are over lol.
hope everything works out girl and if i dont....we wasnt good enough for you to begin with

Posted by Orbax on Sep-15-2003 05:31:

how about dont waste time on someone so irresponsible with cash they have to work 7 days a week to pay off stupid shit, and disregard the important things in life like relationships

Posted by Miss Julia on Sep-15-2003 05:32:

I kind of have more faith in him. He doesn't have time for bullshit or games. He is different from any guy that i know. But then again... i could be wrong. I wish i could put him to the test!

Posted by Orbax on Sep-15-2003 05:33:

If there is a doubt, there is no doubt, tests are for non-trusting people. you have second thoughts, that means he fucked up, ditch him

Ya... i agree with that. He didn't HAVE to buy such an expensive car. He knew what he was going to get himself into... a $900/month bill

2003, fully loaded Subarban. He didn't put a down payment, so thats why he pays so much each month... and including insurance... it comes out to $900/month.

One thing i forgot to mention.... they are short staff at his 2nd job... so thats another reason why he has to work so much. He told me once they hire more people (hopefully soon), he won't have to work as much.

what a tool!!! who in the right mind would buy one of those in cali where gas is $2/gallon and not even have loot for a down payment the reward of driving that beast in by no means worth working 7 days a week!!!

no offense, but that's pretty stupid. He'll be paying the car off forever.

The poor guy has no family out here in the states. He supports himself.

I'm not insecure about myself... and i know i can get other guys... but i really like him.

Posted by UWM on Sep-15-2003 05:40:

*red flag*

If this guy is irresponsible enough to get himself into a financial situation like this, he will never have much time / money for you.

How can you "really like him" if you hardly even know him?

If you had known him for a while prior to his present job problem, then I can see the predicament. But if you hardly knew him to begin with, why try so hard to salvage something that appears so one-sided?

Don't think it's worth all this trouble if you've only known him a month.

Posted by vtec junkie on Sep-15-2003 05:45:

La is full of guys like this......they come a dime a dozen. yeah they ride around in their $40,000 rides....but look at what they have to do to afford them. with the coast of living out there......he will be paying on that damn thing for 20 years.

Posted by Orbax on Sep-15-2003 05:46:

basically, if you are asking trance addicts for their opinion, its gone way down the shitter already, and you need to end it :P just kidding, we (meaning I) are awesome

Posted by Miss Julia on Sep-15-2003 05:49:

I think u guys are all right!!!!!! I just need to admit it to myself.

Things moved way too fast with him. I feel like i've known him for more than just 1 month.

Posted by Orbax on Sep-15-2003 05:51:

hes probably the jealous type and beats women too

Posted by sothis on Sep-15-2003 21:40:

i understand the part about not wanting to be with someone who would be frivalous with their money. however. the fact that hes gone all the time? thats called real life, with a real job

yea, its not 9 to 5, but hell.. programming jobs usually require 10 hours a day. you make shitloads of money, but you have to work your ass off for it. my sig other understands this, since he is in the same field of work. all of you must be used to dating other teenagers with part time jobs at burger king or something the real world generally takes much more time and energy, and the fact of the matter is, sometimes you cant spend as much time with your partner. dont like it? neither do any of us. but thats life.
