DJX-700 problems or something??

ok so i've noticed that since i've gotten this mixer it tends to make a sort of farting noise hell fuck loud through the speakers at random.

I used to think it was my needles and dirty vinyls but i've since cleaned everything and i've noticed it does it too when i am mixing with my denon dns-5000.

Also it seems like it does it more when the faders are at the very top.

any ideas as to what it is and how i can go about fixing this....its totally screwin my sets....

hmm....ok well has anyone with any other behringer mixer ever experienced something like this....???

sorry i havent used their mixers before but i almost crapped myself laughing when i read
quote:

hahahahhahahha . . .

Seriously though, i wanted to bump the thread, and my 2 cents would be get ahold of behringer tech support at quick as possible, and get a new mixer. obviously since no one else has been complaining you might have recieved a bad one.

i have a basic behringer vmx-100, and i've never noticed any farting noises from the mixer, i used to have an old POS numark, and it never did that either, and both times all the wires were grounded and properly plugged in, and also i had one output to my speakers and one into my computer... so i'm not sure what's goin' on bro, i would also say call behringer tech support, and have them send you a new one, or look up where they have an autorised service center and have them service it

farting noices? You sure they come out of your speakers?

All cables are probably attached good? You're not driving the mixer into the red/yellow areas?

If you can't find a solution, warranty will be the only thing that can help you...

I just got this mixer last week. Sound quality isn't the greatest on it. But I haven't been getting the farting noise you are getting. Are your tables properly grounded? I also noticed that when the faders are at max, the sound tends to distort and lose quality. So try gaining the volume down

just lower ur master volume a tad and check on ur light induicators that its not going in the red zone

My roommate's mixer is a vmx300...and i've had no farting problems.

One thing I have noticed about the behringer compared to my gemini is that it really doesn't like to be at high levels. Keep it in the green. If you're in the green and it still does it...then either lay off the beans or call tech support.

ok im gonna try keeping it in the greens....

i noticed i tend to play around at the upper end of the yellows for some reason when i dont need to really so i changed so stuff and im in the greens now....

we'll see if this solves the problem....hopefull it will....

or it could b ur speakers. mine tend to make a farting noise when im blowing the shit out of them and they cant handle it.

I just got my djx700 today (im happy, w00t w00t) and have experienced no problems setting up. I'm using really ghetto speakers, because I'm going back to university tommorow. While it is my first mixer, I have experienced no problems at all and have been happily practicing beat matching.

Could be your speakers, dude.

Indeed... I have experienced those somewhat-farting noises before too [Numark DXM-06 Mixer], but only very rarely - and it was because the master volume was a bit tooo high and that the cables were not grounded properly...

LOL @ the farting description
My farts sounded a bit different though, quite tight, as if you were to flick a plastic straw very hard and amplify it by 5x!
