none of them compare to the original book. its like the only book i've read within a week cuz i couldn't put it down

the game was really good for its time,

but...the novels are SOOOOOOO much better than the movie/miniseries, its not even close to the same thing, dune is one of those things that u just cant turn into a movie...anyone whos read the book knows this, its sooo amazing, it also owns matrix hard!! if u understood what happens in matrix 2, dune blows that away and goes so much deeper!!!

I've read the first 2...I started the 3rd one, but I just couldn't finish it. Instead I read the first one for the third time. I must say, that as great as the world of Dune is, and it's stories and everything, from the first book it went downhill.

haha LOTR is the greatest evar. Its Origins are in scandenavian mythology I think (too lazy to look it up in the appendix...), completely ORIGINAL spin off of that.

Right. I haven't read Dune but I will check it out. As for it killing LOTR, I doubt it...read my post above as for how it is Original. I'm sure Dune's really cool though, have heard nothing but good things about it.

ya i havent read lotr either, and u cant compare it to the movie, thats just cheap...

but seriously read dune, its way beyond anything u can imagine...just insane
