The big "why the hell was The Lab cancelled" topic

Figured I'd might aswell make a new topic about this. Guess everyone by now read the information on loungelab.se/tla, and everyone understands that I cannot go too much into details pending the lawsuit (so I owe you some gory gossip, as many of the things that have happened are too ridiculous for words).

Anyway, I'd be more than happy to answer questions about it. The least I can do, I guess...

Is this the big "I told you so" topic? If not I am sure it eventually will be. To bad about the event, it was needed in the southern parts of Sweden if not the whole of Sweden.

it's a shame that it didn't work out because the idea was so great but I guess it's hard to do such a big thing in such a little country when it comes to trance :/

but don't let this set you back for good, I really hope that you'll continue to arrange stuff, sweden needs it

I don�t know the detalis but I will read through it soon, just don�t give up on us...

Sweden need more QUALITY events !

�j d�r ser man. V�ldigt v�ldigt synd att det gick s� h�r m�ste jag s�ga. Hade varit en milstolpe i den svenska scenen om det blev av.

Fast jag m�ste s�ga, bara storleken p� det h�r arrangemanget skapade mycket skepticism och m�nga v�ntade med att k�pa biljett av den anledningen.

men visst jag h�ller med Gaby, det var ju inte direkt ov�ntat med en s� d�lig organisation. Man borde inse att man inte kan test-k�ra en fest med Holland-storlek n�r lilla Deep Club i Malm� (som tar in v�l sis�d�r 200 pers) f�r byta musikstil pga d�lig l�nsamhet (och andra problem antar jag)

Ik hoop dat je eruit komt met de rechtzaken en dat je in de toekomst weer gaat proberen zoiets dergelijks neer te zetten. Ik weet zeker dat het niet onmogelijk is. Als je naam zo door het slijk is gehaald moet je misschien maar proberen onder een andere firmanaam iets nieuws te beginnen indien mogelijk.

F�r mig betyder det iaf att min resa till Malm� �r inst�lld tyv�rr. Kanske finns det n�t alternativ snart.. vet inte �nnu. Jag e v�ldigt besviken f�rresten. Iaf jag sa att jag hoppas att allt g�r bra med honom och att han ska inte kasta handduken i ringen och h�ller p� med att f�rs�ka klara n�t likadant i framtiden

So, whats the deal with the "Nation of Amsterdam" thingo at Basilika in Lund? You initially wrote that Above and Beyond were to play, but since the promotion has been less than zero, i would like to know how you are going to pull this off?

Yes that is looking good. The promotion took a bit of a setback with all the work involved with cancelling The Lab (which is almost more than actually organizing it... sigh...)

Anyway, October 3rd at Basilika will be very cool. We've got the whole place to ourselves, and we'll be experimenting a bit... Promotion will get underway within a few days.

seems like everytime i manage to get the time and money to go to an event, the thing gets cancelled and i lose (some of) my money

and oh, btw, if wou want people to come to basilika for above and beyond, you'd better start some major advertising as soon as possible, otherwise you will end up in the same position as now...
