Song name

the lyrics go

"i have a dream, that one day this nation will rise from the ashes"
Very housey track..for those who go to the zone..they play it over there like 3 to 4 times a day on sundays

Oh man......i have this track on one of the sets i just downloaded.....wicked wicked dirty prog house track!!! I bet Shawzy would know this one.....PM him.

Posted by Special K on Sep-17-2003 03:11:

there are a ton of tracks that use that sample (from that famous martin luther king speech)

and it might not even be in the actual song, the dj might have dropped an accapella over some beats too.........

Posted by DigDeep on Sep-17-2003 03:15:

Its definately an actual song......ive heard it at the CZ as well.

Posted by jon jon on Sep-17-2003 03:21:

isn't it that "Jack had a groove" track??

Posted by samhouse on Sep-17-2003 03:52:

will check...
thanks for the help..yea ive heard it over other tracks..but this is a particular prog house song...very dark and just pure danceable

Posted by beatjunkie on Sep-17-2003 13:07:

Haha, thanks for the confidence TECHno addict.
As Special K mentioned the sample is used in ALOT of tracks out there and it was probably accapella'd over another track if it was dark and danceable.
I believe halo20 is right as well, it is used on the Jack had a Groove track and my god am I sick of hearing it

Was it the track you were looking for? I can't believe they would spin that at the zone...?

Posted by samhouse on Sep-17-2003 17:22:

no that wasnt it...
youre right
prolly an acapella..

Posted by jon jon on Sep-17-2003 17:25:

There are so many tracks that sound like that.

1) Is it actually Martin Luther King?
2) At any time during the track is the word "house music" used?

I came accross a white label track a while ago, that I've heard ADDY play virtually everywhere I've managed to see him live, and since he's a resident at the zone, it might be the track you're looking for, mind you I haven't seen him in about 6 months, soo....

basically it's got MLK's speech sampled over a remix of MJ's billie jean...

if that sounds like what you're looking for, let me know and I'll rip it for you...
