Tiesto-Nyana

I just got this cd..I know its late, but im poor. And I think its pretty damn good. What do you guys think about it?

Yes, i dunno tho. i think Tiesto shouldve just made 1 CD. It woulda been like mind exploding if he did that, instead of making 2 that are just good. Ill leave it at that.

dont listen to promos and asot anymore and buy only cds and you will like every track because you havent heard it before and now STFU

ain't that the truth. i think tiesto and armin (all dj's for that matter) about what they release and how it needs to differ from what they play. i mean nyana...we all knew those tunes for months before it came out. i just think they should save some of the tunes to be released on cds instead of canning them every week...which then they could do after they release it hehehe...

Personally i think the internet has made life tougher for DJ's. Nowadays as soon as a new tune is released everyone is in a mad rush to download it. It usually gets cained alot and after a cuple months of caining its not a new tune anymore

Well isn't that what Tiesto did with the Nyana track? I hadn't heard him play it before anywhere!

This can't be any more wrong. Maybe for ameteurs like you and I, but right now the internet is probably the only and best way for DJs to communicate with fans all over the world...radio shows, mp3 set trading, homepages, club information, etc...granted that mp3 downloading is killing the music industry, the internet is still a very special and important tool for musicians worldwide to share and hear music. 'New tunes' are called new tunes for a reason. After a while they get old...not because everybody DLs them, but simply because...well, they get old! So to blame the internet for letting tunes becoming played out is kind of a empty justification.
But on the other hand, I have a few friends who purchased it and they all love it. One common thing I noticed between the difference with them and I: they don't go to tranceaddict.com everyday, they don't listen to ASOT, they don't keep up like we do, so naturally alot of these tunes are fresh for them...remember when you heard these tunes for the first time? Imagine slapping them all into a 2 CD set and having "Tiesto" on the cover. Naturally, you can't help but enjoy it(assuming you like trance)
As far as Nyana goes, I think it's missing something...it just seems like Tiesto is mixing in tune after tune we all heard before...ATRC, U Write the Rules, Venus, Urban Shakedown etc...all wonderful tunes, sub-parly mixed. Tiesto seemed to have tried a little to hard, and at the same time not hard enough...2 CDs, and 1 new Tiesto tune? Bleh.
It's not fair to say that you'll love it or hate it either...I love the beginning until Venus on CD1, and enjoy the middle portion of CD2(Beautiful Things, Nothing, Forever Waiting, ATRC...), but it seemed on both CDs, things started to unravel at the end...
Giving it a fair shot, it's a mediocre compilation at best. Hopefully Tiesto will realize that trying to hard won't work, nor does trying half-assed.

First time i listened to it i thought it sucked totally.. after listening to it about 3 times i started to like disk one.. and now im in total love with track 2 on disk 1.. But for it being Tiesto i think he should of had a better cd.. as for disk 2 i still think it sucks.. as for 2003 i think Oakenfolds Great Wall blew away Nyana..

i think its a great cd, i love it! im not a tiesto fanboy or anything but i enjoy this cd. for its release here i think the cds are the other way around for some reason. and i don't know where the mixing is sub-par, it all sounds good to me

i was so exicted of getting this. i think i hyped myself up to much for it...it's a good album, but not the best. the Gategrasher 3xCD's are still the best out there, nothing like them out on the market...
