Yea, i just moved here and i have not found a trance or electronic music store yet. Does anyone know of any? It would be a great help if you do.

No.
There is one right in dowtown church street area...Its been a while since I Lived in Central Fl
GO TO THE DROP SHOP, downtown go to www.dropshop.com for details. they have a decent selection for being in a breakbeat town, only been there once but i was impressed, plus every vinyl is on their website and any order over 100 dollars they will ship it for free.

Im not sure if the site gives you exact directions but you take COLONIAL(SR50)West to BUMBY and make a Left. Go down and I believe its your first or second traffic signal which is ROBINSON ST. and make a left; DROP SHOP will be IMMEDIATELY on your right. Its REALLY easy to miss bc it is super small where you have to pull in. Its a small Grey Bldg so make sure you're paying attention!! Drop Shop's the best in Otown for vinyl and staff are super nice!!

record stores in orlando
Vinyl Frontier is another good store in Orlando. It is located on I-4 and Coloniel, right by the Holiday Inn. I think DJ Knightlife does the ordering there.
Record stores in Orlando
I forget who mentiond Vinyl Frontier, but the point is It DJ Knightlife (Chris Hand) who does the ordering. Dj Knightlife also Spins Every Wednesday night @ Zinc bar Which is located right off of the Corner of Orange Ave and Central Blvd in Downtown Orlando. It is close to Icon night club as well. Chris is a awesome guy and plays some fantastic music on Wednesday nights. You can always find me there....not too many places play good trance anymore.

I honestly don't know if Knightlife still resides at Blue Room or not, oddly enough. AnyHOO....Zinc bar is not that busy on Wednesday nights so Antigua is probably where you want to be if you are a people person. Me I go to Zinc for two reasons. One is because I pretty much HATE Florida Funky breaks. Two, I don't like the sound system over at Antigua it just plain out sucks!. I mean why in the world would you have nothing but monitor speakers for your sound system in a club of that kind? AnyHOO Zinc bar is best to go to on Friday nights where DJ Cliff T plays some real ROckin tunes!!

). Id be goin primarily for the music anyway... how is Cliff T ; isnt that house?
yeah Cliff T does spin house. But Cliff has awesome music selection and track lay out. I wish I did not work Friday nights so I could work @ Zinc and hear his sets. As for Wednesday nights @ Zinc it is usally pretty slow but since I get 2 dollar drinks lol I am there most every Wednesday night.
Zinc is about the only place that hasnt switched to "hip hop". Friday nights are good.. but i find that cliff T spins the same set with the same tracks almost everytime i attend there. Once in awhile he will mix it up a little but hey i suppose its better than nothing at all. Unfortunately the scene in orlando has dropped significantly due to lack of attendance. But they just passed a new law that will allow the clubs to stay open til 5am. Hopefully that will increase attendance which in turn will help bring more Djs back to orlando.

I would highly recomend vinyl frontier, Kevin (owner), and Chris (knightlife) are good people. It has a really chill atmosphere and a pretty good selection. I'm in there at least 2-3 times a week. Just to let you guys know chris IS spinning at Blue Room again, i think this just happened last week. I'm not sure if its friday or saturday night, but i know its one of the 2. I'm gonna see him later today and ill let ya'll know. Also VF can and will order stuff for you if they dont have it. Ive ordered many 12"s from them, and if its out there, they will find it. They just added a hip hop section, but its mostly progressive stuff. Motorcycle-As the rush comes, was supposed to come in yesterday and they should be holding a copy for me.
Anyways, check them out and if you see a big goofy lookin white guy in there with a hat that says "Bong" on it, thats me, dont be afraid to say Hi. Oh, one more thing, they are supposed to open at noon everyday, but unless you want to stand around outside for 20-30 mins, i wouldnt recomend goin before 1:00.

Its going to be 5am for closing in Orlando now? That will hopefully help, now if we only had a good consistent place for trance, heck i'd even take progressive. I guess now that Glenda Hood is out of office maybe the downtown scene can improve, she was holding this place down.
