I always loved Sasha. (No, not because of the Dj) It's sexy and strong and not girly. Actually it's a unisex name.

i used to have a new jersrey fake ID that said my name was Monty Parker

I like the IE spelling much more than the Y, but i figured for a fakey, i was pushing it enough with monty as my name.

but then it wouldn't work with my real last name Monterubio

If I could change my name hrmm.. actually whats funny is I get called differently from each person and those names are pretty cool. My favorite from them is "Macoy" heheh thats what they call me back in my country cuz my first name is Marc, but really don't know how it got to that. It must have started when I was a baby.

I hope you know that there is no such name as Sasha in name book. It's only the shorter version of Alexander. It's like Pavel-Pasha, Dimitrij-Dima, Michail-Mitia...
almost every Russian name has a shorter version that is used quite often (the same with Sasha)...

agree that it's an unisex name. There is quite a number of Alexandra's in the world

I wouldn't change my name, it quite unique if you won't translate it to french.
