Sennheiser HD600Pro v Pioneer HDJ-1000's v Sony V 6
Okay guys,
I've read most of the headphone thread and done a search on all these headphones online on TA and head-hifi (or whatever the name of that website is). The thing is, i have never seen, or have yet to find a direct comparsion of these three headphones. The premise is, my V700s hace recently cracked after about 3 years of faithful service, i'm ready for some new headphones, so have it.
Which one is the best choice for DJ'ing, or is the decision really just subjective?
Price is irrevelant, i'm aware what all these cost, i'm just looking for the best cans for me as a DJ.
Thanks,
Wozzeck
The entire universe will tell you to get only 1 headphone... and let me be the first to let you in on it....
PIONEER HDJ-100000000000000000000000000000000000000 !
Okay, but why? Why them over the sennheiser?
You said it yourself bro. To me, headphones are a personal purchase. One person may love one headphone, and another may love some $15 set. But going by most popular, definitely the Pioneers. I don't think I've heard one bad thing about them, except they may be a bit tight if you have a big head.
Performance wise, Sennheiser vs Pioneer.. equal? The attenuation?
wtf the sennheiser hd600 is a 500 dollar open air headphone...why are you even comparing? those are argueably one of the best headphones in the world
now if youre talking abotu the hd-280 thats a different story....
the v6 i hear is slightly more refined in sound. the pios will sound alot like your v700s go with the pioneers if you like bass. if you want clerity and accuracy, go with the hd-280s
hd-280s are more for studio monitoring as are the v6 so you may not find them comfortable enough for djing depending on yourstyle because the earpads are really cushy and oblong but personally, i think the hd-280s are just perfect...and the clerity and balance are uncomparably better than the competition.
the 280s may not be quite as loud as the pios though but it doesnt really matter if you have a mixer with a headphone amp that has some balls. probably wont sound good from a portable or a computer though beucase they need some power to drive.
Was i thinking of the HD280's as dj headphones?
i think so
the 600s are friggen amazing though.
I don't really like the bass on the 700s all that much, is it totally nonexistant on the 280s? Maybe less bass is needed due to outsie blocking?
not really less bass... it may sound like less bass to your ears at first but i think its balanced really well. thats the only thing i can say. most people who are used to muddy bass dont like the sennheisers until they have used them for a while
and then their ears evolve
Sounds like i'm sold, thanks
brought my hdj1000s 3 days ago and they fucking own.
