Wow, I just saw and it was a great uplifitng move. Long but great, it's a must see. I would highly recomend this movie to every-1 else. In a way it's weird but it is very very good. Since this movie was so great I wanted to know any other films/productions Steven Spielberg has made
. Must see more LSteven Spielber

A.I. was a 'good' movie. At best it was a prophecy about the future, at worst it's a very drawn out anti-climatic movie. If I had to check this flick out again, I would be under some kind of mind-altering subtance.
Damn, looking for more Spielber films??? He is one of the best American directors. Some of his most popular movies are:
Jaws (1975)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989)
Hook (1991)
Jurassic Park (1993)
Saving Private Ryan (1998)
I would definetly recomend "Close Encounters" and also if you have never seen E.T. you must see that one...especially if you liked A.I.
i haven't seen it yet but its getting pretty bad reviews in the papers and stuff. but you guys seem to like it. maybe its just a mind set of the critics. Schindler's List is another movie by spielberg and also Batteries not Included.
bad reviews? really? i've only seen good ones. like saying this is spielberg's best movie yet and stuff. nonetheless, i'm still gonna go see it this summer along with final fantasy.
E.T.
There we go, now I see... If it was my first time seeing E.T. again then I am pretty sure it would be the same feeling as when I watched A.I. By the way, who is Krubrick>? I would also like to hear about more of his films. Wow, I am still thinking about how much of a great movie this was, thank you for the other recomendations. Also, dont ever believe the media untill you see it for yourself
. Any-1 else have a review about this movie to post>?
ok i dont know where to begin!
this is the best movie that has come out in a LONG time....
its greatly made in a theatrical and litrature sense (3 acts, metaphores... yada-yada)
it is probably the most thought out movie i've ever seen and is VERY VERY DEEP! by this i mean very philosophical... it brings out lots of issues (if you're not lazy to think for yourself) including trying to tackle the biggest ones of them all, What is life (i think therefore i am?) and the meaning of life... ok its kinda hard for me to say and express all this stuff especially in writing, i guess you just have to meet me or get in my brain (btw i dont do drugs, hehe) but belive me there is so much going on in that movie that most will not pick up on it.
if you want to get into this seriously go to and immerse yourself in the world (it doesnt matter if you've seen the movie):
http://msn.zdnet.com/msn/zdnet/stor...025ab%2C00.html
(also www.7to1.net)
ok heres more, to get what i meant by that deepness of the movie go to:
http://slate.msn.com/moviereview/01...moviereview.asp
http://slate.msn.com/code/thefray/thefray.asp?m=1493074
read those two one after the other.
(if you havent seen the movie dont read'em unless you want to ruin the plot)
you thought the movie was good sober, try seeing it tripping
all i gotta say is Whoa...
Jay D...Stanley Kubrick is a famous screen writer/director..etc. He has made many famous movies...A Space Oddessy 2001...i think thats the title...also Eyes Wide Shut with Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise. He is known for out there concepts. My parents and sis went to see A.I. and they thought the movie could have been so much more then it was. They didn't want to spoil the plot for me so they couldn't get into great detail as to what they felt was lacking. But they warned me to wait until it comes out on vid. They are always on the mark with their reviews so I'm gonna take their advice and not waste $8 to see this movie in the theaters.
OK, I just saw the movie and I give a 7/10.
You defintely know when Steven Spielberg comes in a takes over where Stanley Kubrick left off for Spielberg. Originaly Kubrick wrote the script, died before he could finish it, then passed it to Spielberg. It would of been nice to see how Kubrick would of ended it. I would of given it a 10 but Spielberg lost me during the "stadium scene". All in a good movie to see.
Oh yeah, JayD. Kubrick's best (my opinion) movie was either Clockwork Orange or the Shining. Man knows how to move you in a movie.
Payce
Clockwork Orange is a psychedelic movie ...
It's a good movie in my taste. The previews were lame cause they didnt want to give anything of the movie away. I didnt even want to see it, but my friends persuaded me, since it was a Spielberg film and starred the boy from Sixth Sense. But when I saw it, it was really (long, but) good. The only thing I'll say about the story, is that it is Pinochio (however the hell you spell it) in the far future.

Yea, this movie was definitely one of the best of the year. My 3 friends that went with me to see it didn't like the ending at all, saying that it could have been done without out it...or ended differently. I myself loved the ending. What I loved most about the movie is that you could not predict what was going to happen next...and every scene fit perfectly into the story to make it *complete* unlike so many other shit movies today.
This was definitely a film that Kubrick/Speilberg fans should take a definite liking too.

Would have been better if kubrick did the whole thing. Too bad he died...hes a master of great film making...spielberg is too hollywood if you ask me, though i must say he has skillz too, as is aparent in his films Empire of the Sun and The Goonies.
