01.Playing Footsie
02.Amazing

ahhhh...
I liked proximus, komodo, like this like that much more
it's a pity Picotto turned to techno

Posted by infinity0908 on Sep-20-2003 18:52:

i like his techno stuff
Baguette is a one of the best techno tunes imo
but i would give 7/10 for this one.

it's a shame you posted this, cos your the only person so far that i've heard doesn't like playing footsie.

proximus, komodo and the like were tunes for children. it wasn't even good trance. however lately evrything he touches turns to gold.

just out of intrest by the way have you heard the other 6 remixes he has made of like this like that, or his remixes of iguana and the verdi remix of pulsar. what about tunes like, prendi and scappa, like a dog, verdi, underground and as previously pointed out baguette. Mauro hasn't recently started making techno, hes always produced techno, its just recently he's placed more emphasis on his techno releases and thank god too cos they are of much better quality.

playing footsies is a bit... weird... but amazing is amazing!!

Playing Footsie is cool. Very funky but still nice and hard.

Amazing sounds like a new remix of Awesome. Not THAT impressed but I still like it.

Playing Footsie is one of the best things Picotto has done in ages - full of funky goodness (thats not to say his last few singles have been crap - far from it), Amazing is a little bland - but i can see that it will do the business in a loud club

I agree that his earlier releases didn't have very high quality production but "Lizard" was brilliant. His more recent trance (Pulsar 2002 and Back to Cali) is much better. I think the best thing about Lizard is that it combined trance and techno. Still, I love his new techno front. Is the single we're on about now out on CD?

wow, I'm quite impressed with these two tracks. Playing Footsie is really nice, pretty funky indeed, but now Amazing geez, it blew my mind away, it's just that as it says, it's amazing!, i'm definately going to use that one on my sets, check the latests 2 mins when the key change kicks in, those final moments are like WOW!!!!, it's just great!.

Playing Footsie 8/10
Amazing 9.5/10

whenever i hear 'like a dog' i can just picture a dog shaking himself dry to the rythym of the tune.
i'm tired.

having said that, have you heard the two unreleased techno mixes of komodo. there fuckin bangin. i got it in a double pack with the trance mixes.

the techno mixes were on the bxr superclub label. very nice tunes.

Great track ! Playing Footsie is the best piece of techno I`ve heard in a long time , just the way I like it! Funky as hell.

Posted by Entropy on Oct-03-2003 14:30:

I find "Playing Footsie" a bit dull. There are no real changes in the track and it's very monotonous till the end. But maybe I just played it at a volume that wasn't high enough.
"Amazing" is simply amazing. What a killer breakdown and restart!!!
Now that's what I call techno.

Like This Like That was also one of my favorite tracks a time ago.
It still rocks! Man, when he let it loose at Trance Energy ... that was kickin'!!
