Figuring people out
Why the fuck is it so hard to figure people out? Is it human fucking nature to be deceiving? You do one thing to a person.. they might like it.. you do another thing to another person.. they might hate it. This shit's so fucking complicated. That's why people become hermits. Women.. god knows what theyre thinking. Men.. god knows what theyre doing.
why is it so hard, because everybody is different. Its never an absolute science but ppl that live in the same area or are in the same social status, etc. have lots of similar facets when it comes to figuring them out, ofcourse if they are liying from the begining its a whole other story..
Every person has a different background: why would all of them react to things the same way?

Wow, so much negative energy in this thread, it's depressing. It's not human nature to be decieving you are within one's trust circle, at least I have never thought of it as that way. I can honestly say that everyone that I truly _trust_ (about 2 people) I am in no way deceptive to them on a regular basis (maybe ocassionally I will withold information from them intentionally in order to surprise.. a bit different if you ask me). So if it is truly human nature to be deceptive to all people I contend that I'm not quite human.
As to the religion thing, the splintering of factions can easily be observed in any overly broad group. Look at cars (different manufacturers, body styles, even types, yet they all perform the same basic function (transporting the driver and/or goods), music is another prime example, how many genres are there out ther, why can't everyone just listen to folk music??? the same thing applies to religion.
There is a famous quote that goes something along the lines of this:
"I contend we are all atheists, I just believe in one less god than you"...
"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." - - Stephen Roberts
quite possibly the most insightful quote into the multi-faceted realm of theology. Also puts the not so uncommon atheist hating christian back in his or her place quite fast if you manage to just restate the idea captured in that quote =)
i don't see what religion has to do with the original post
but life would be really dull if everyone was the same
