Numark TT-1650 Problems

ok... ive been playing around on those TTs for a few days... and it seems like that i cant beatmatch on them... the pitch slider is innaccurate ...

anyone have such problems? or its just not set up right?

how long have u been djing for?
do u know how to beatmatch on other turntables?

Posted by Vert on Sep-21-2003 02:49:

Yeah, it could be that they are just cheap tables..

es

I have the same decks, and have no problems with them.. I can do long stable transitions on them..
Try putting on two versions of the same tune and see if it drifts..

If you're switching from using some other decks, it takes some getting used to. There's probably nothing wrong with the decks, I have TT1625's and the pitch wavers near the 0% mark, but other than that works fine.

I have the 1650, works perfect for me...I think your'e just not used to the table or something, I've noticed that in difference to other tables the pitch slider is much easier to drag then on for example the techs

hmmm

yeah i know how to beatmatch, ive been djeing for 5 years...

so cud it be that they r not setup right? like...the counter weights r messed up or anything?

because I noticed that they r not keeping the same BPM throughout the whole track, u know what i mean? I think it slightly changes by the end of the track...

I dont know...maybe im just used to cdplayers, where u can beatmatch perfectly...so the trax won't go off in at least a minute...

ehh...

weird...

damn it...i dont know...im confused...

Posted by liquidmist2001 on Sep-22-2003 04:26:

how long have ya been using those exact tables for? i have a set of 1625s and just recently couldn't match beats anymore, and i noticed that one of the motors was taking longer to start up, so i took it to the numark authorised repairers and they did a tune up on it and everything was fine again...and yeah, the base level numarks tend to waver when ure just above or below the 0% pitch point.

5 years Djing and you still using Numarks, WOW but that time I'm 100% sure I'll have some Technics .

Numarks

I also have those tables. I haven't had any problems with them.

Posted by -AbsurD- on Sep-23-2003 01:20:

haha yeah....ill get Technics some day....in a coupla months...those TT-1650 r not even mine...

I have CD Decks...and I spun on TTs before I moved to US... and the reason that I still dont have Techs is that I used to not take djeing seriously for the past coupla years... just play a gig here and there... or play on Idealsound Radio... but now I decided to go back to pro...

ehh..

I have these turntables too, they're pish, the beats keep going off too. Maybe i need to get mine tuned up as well, cause i've been dj'ing for a few years now, and they used to be ok. Now they're fucking shite!!!

they are cheap beginner decks. Why do you expect them to be accurate OR durable?

I had these decks and I could mix decently on them. Yes they do waver, yes they willl start crapping out on you after a few years. But you have to expect this, cos they only cost a quarter of the price of Technics.

The fact is, they are a good beginner deck for exactly those reasons, they are cheap, you'll appreciate better equipment, and when you do make the change you will be a better dj for it cos you will get plently of practice pitch bending.

Holy old topic Batman!

Thing is, just when i finally got recording equipment and wanted to put a mix online, they start to fuck up, can't get a full mix now without beats going mad lol.

But yes i will appreaciate my 1210's when i get them, let's hope it sooner rather than later because I'm gonna go madddd if i don't get a mix online soon.
